CHECHNYA – An armoured personnel vehicle carrying Russian soldiers was blown up by a landmine on the western outskirts of the village of Tangi-Chu in the Urus-Martanovsky district this morning. Three of the soldiers in the vehicle were wounded. They have all been taken to the military hospital in Khankala with various injuries.
On Tuesday evening a 22-year-old contract soldier was blown up by a booby-trap mine near the village of Zhani-Vedeno in the Vedensky district. He received serious injuries to the legs and abdomen.

CHECHNYA - An armed clash between Chechen guerrillas and special forces of the Russian military took place on the outskirts of the village of Bugaroy in the Itum-Kalinsky district this morning.
Two guerrillas have been killed, a source in the Itum-Kalinsky District Interior Ministry Department (ROVD) said, adding that one Russian soldier has been killed and six wounded.
On Thursday, two soldiers of the 46th brigade of the Russian Interior Ministry forces were blown up by an anti-personnel mine near the village of Dargo in the Vedensky district. They have been taken to the military hospital in Khankala.

02/07/2005 11:56 MOSCOW, July 2 (RIA Novosti) - A land mine explosion outside Grozny, Chechnya, wounded six servicemen of the internal troops, local police reports.
According to the Interior Ministry of Chechnya, the incident took place during the mine clearing effort.
The land mine went off under an APC (armored personnel carrier), the police said.
The efforts of the Kremlin to suppress the resistance of the Chechen people have led to expansion of the war. Not having solved the main military problem – the rout of the centralized structure of the management of Mujahiddeen, the Kremlin tries to rescue the situation by means of the old Soviet KGB methods of terror.
Practically daily on the whole territory of the ChRI (and since the last year also in other regions of the Northern Caucasus ) the so-called “cleanings” are carried out - retaliatory actions, the purpose of which is to suppress psychologically the will to resistance of the majority of people and to force them to refuse the support of Mujahiddeen.
