Northern regions of Chechnya were left without gas supply due to a damage of a gas-pipe
CHECHNYA, 27 January, Caucasus Times. Due to a damage of a pipe in Aksai-Gudermes-Grozny gas-pipe in about 1.5 km from Gudermes northern regions of Grozny, Hankala, Argun as well as Shali and Kurchaloi districts of Chechnya were left without gas supply.

Source in the Ministry of Extraordinary Situations told Caucasus Times correspondent that necessary machinery and technical equipment have been delivered to the place of a damage. The reasons for the damage are being currently explored.

Gas leak on Aksai-Gudermes-Grozny gas-pipe in about 1.5 km from the city of Gudermes has been identified on Thursday at 20:00 Moscow time.

According to France-Press source inside the pro-Moscow puppet administration over the 24-hour period of last Sunday to Monday 5 Russian terrorists were eliminated and 10 others were wounded.

According to France-Press source inside the pro-Moscow puppet administration six Russian invaders were killed in fighting in Chechnya over the past two days.
Two invaders were killed when their vehicle was attacked by Mujahideen near the village of Alkhan-Yurt in southeastern Chechnya.
A third fatality was a member of the Vostok battalion, which comprises traitor-Chechens under Russian command. He died in clashes with Mujahideen in the southeast.
An unidentified official with the pro-Russian Chechen administration said three other soldiers were killed in a series of attacks by Chechen fighters.

The explosion took place in Kurchaloi, 100km from Grozny

The death toll from an explosion at a Russian military base in Chechnya has risen to 12 with 28 people wounded.

The explosion on Tuesday night at the Defence Ministry base in the Kurchaloi settlement, about 100km from Chechnya's capital, Grozny, destroyed a two-storey building that housed the unit. Russia's Vostok battalion is stationed at the base.

Military and local emergency ministry officials said on Wednesday that the reason for the blast remained unknown.

A criminal investigation has been launched as rescuers continue to search for more people in the ruins.

Earlier, officials said it was a gas explosion, but no remains of gas containers or explosives have been found.
