The message states Abu Hafs was killed in a gun battle with Russian commandos and asks that he and two other Mujahideen be recognized as martyrs. Abu Hafs, 33, was born in Zarqa, Jordan, the birthplace of deceased al-Qaeda in Iraq head, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Abu Hafs arrived in Chechnya in 1995, where he worked under the command of Samir Saleh Abdullah al-Suwaylem. They came from all over the world for jihad. They were with their brothers in their hard times. They lost their lives in jihad and became shaheeds (martyrs) in this way. Actually they didn't die! They are still alive and in the heaven they are living their lives. They aren't only the heroes of Chechnya, they are also heroes of this muslim ummah. They all smile when they lose their lives because they know that paradise is waiting for them. Just before they die, they see the heavens and they give their lives while smiling. 1 Russian soldier was lilled and at least 2 others were wounded in the Zavodsky district of Jokhar on the night November 25-25, 2006, the report says giving no further details.
3 Russian troops were killed and 7 others were wounded in a forest-covered area between the villages of Elistanji and Eshelkhatoi on Sunday morning, November 26, 2006. After that successful operation by Chechen Mujahideen, Russian artillery pounded the forest-covered area for 4 hours. The Mujahideen suffered no casualties, the report said.
