ROSTOV-ON-DON. Dec 25 (Interfax) - Two soldiers have been killed in Chechnya over the past 24 hours.
"A private of the 70th motorized infantry regiment of the 42nd motorized infantry division was found dead by sentries at a checkpoint outside the village of Khatuni in Chechnya's Vedeno district, a source in the headquarters of the Combined Federal Forces in the North Caucasus told Interfax.
The serviceman, presumably dispatched from Omsk Region, was shot in the head by a sniper.
"Weapons and ammunition were in place and there were no traces of a fight," the source said.
An interior troops serviceman, born in Lipetsk, was accidentally killed in the village of Kurchaloi, when guards patrolling an ammunition depot were practicing shooting skills.

According to commander of “Siddiq” unit of Mujahideen Amir Abdullah in Maskhadov district (former Staropromyslov distrct) of capital Jokhar, the commander of sabotage squad of Mujahideen Kyura Batsiyev became Shaheed (insha Allah). Kyura Batsiyev was commander of a group of 20 Chechen saboteurs who were nicknamed as “destroyers of munafiqs”. The basic goal of this group was Kadyrovans and senior officers of invaders. Kyura Batsiyev began his Jihad in 1994. He was the most active participant combat actions against Russian invaders. He has personally carried out the whole series of impudent operations against kafirs and munafiqs. He was rewarded by president Yandarbiev with “Qoman Turpal” award (the Hero of the Nation”) in 1996.
Two weeks ago Kyura got into his last fight. On operative base of Mujahideen in cemetery district, Batsiyev conducted unequal fight with national-traitors within the whole day. ... >>full

Spokesman of Military Council of State Defense Council Majlis al-Shura reported to Kavkaz Center information agency that 13 invaders and munafiqs were eliminated and 16 were wounded within a day of Dec 27 during military operations of Mujahideen in several parts of the country.
According to the spokesman, Chechen fighters attacked enemy capital Jokhar, Vedeno, Nojay-Yurt, and areas Kurchaloi district of CRI.
In Dyshne-Vedeno district Mujahideen have eliminated five and wounded six invaders and burnt a cargo vehicle of kafirs. In capital Jokhar three enemy soldiers were killed and two were wounded as a result of attacks on positions of the enemy and on the mobile groups of kafirs and munafiqs.

CHECHNYA, 2 January, Caucasus Times - A 42-year-old resident of Dzhokhar [Groznyy] died yesterday as a result of severe beating by bandits from the terrorist centre under the so-called Chechen interior ministry.
Relatives of the murdered man told the agency that the bandits from the terrorist centre tried to overtake the car which he was driving. They stopped the car, dragged him out of it and beat him severely. He was taken to hospital No 9 in critical condition but doctors could not save his life.

According to the Chechen side the convoy of invaders was attacked en route between Vedeno and Janni-Vedeno.
The same source has reported that on January 2, Nojay-Yurt district of the country as a result of blowing up of an APC two invaders were killed and six were wounded. The APC was undermined in area of village Yalhoy-Mohk.
In the meantime the Radio Liberty reported that on January 3, Vedeno district of Chechen Republic in firefight with group of Mujahideen, three aggressors were wounded -- the officer and two soldiers-mercenaries.
