ИД «АКСЕЛЬ ШПРИНГЕР РАША»: «ЛИЦЕНЗИОННЫЙ ДОГОВОР НА ИЗДАНИЕ NEWSWEEK В РОССИИ НЕ БУДЕТ ПРОДЛЕН»
Издательский дом «Аксель Шпрингер Раша», стопроцентное дочернее предприятие немецкого концерна Axel Springer AG, пересматривает состав своего портфолио и входящих в него медийных брэндов. Руководствуясь экономическими причинами, компания приняла решение не продлевать лицензионный договор с Newsweek Inc., действующий с 2004 года и включающий в том числе права на издание в России общественно-политического журнала «Русский Newsweek». Выпуск журнала «Русский Newsweek» от 18 октября 2010 года является последним. Главный редактор журнала Михаил Фишман, 37 лет, предположительно займется другими журналистскими проектами в Axel Springer AG Group в качестве специального корреспондента группы WELT в России и странах СНГ. В дальнейшем «Аксель Шпрингер Раша» продолжает издавать деловой журнал FORBES, российскую версию журнала о компьютерах COMPUTERBILD, журнал о знаменитостях OK!, а также приобретенные в апреле 2010 года журналы GEO, GALA Биография, GEO Traveller и GEOлёнок.

AXEL SPRINGER RUSSIA: «LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR NEWSWEEK IN RUSSIA WILL NOT BE PROLONGED»
Axel Springer Russia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of German Axel Springer AG, restructures its portfolio of media brands. With respect to economic reasons, the license agreement in force since 2004 with NEWSWEEK Inc. regarding the edition of the general interest magazine RUSSKY NEWSWEEK will not be extended. The edition of RUSSKY NEWSWEEK released on October 18, 2010, is the brand’s last issue. It is intended, that the current editor-in-chief Mikhail Fishman, 37, will overtake other journalistic tasks in Axel Springer AG Group, as a correspondent for Russia and CIS countries for WELT Group. In the future the company Axel Springer Russia remains with the business magazine FORBES, the Russian edition of computer magazine COMPUTER BILD, the celebrities’ magazine OK!, and the newly in April 2010 acquired magazines GEO, GALA Biography, GEO Traveller and GEOLENOK. With respect to these circumstances, we decided not to renew the expired license agreement with NEWSWEEK Inc.
