NAZRAN, September 12 (Itar-Tass) -- A local imam was wounded when his car exploded close to the mosque in the town of Malgobek in the North Caucasian republic of Ingushetia late on Thursday.

Iman Hussein Shadiyev was wounded by fragmentation, as well as a passer-by, police told Tass.

Investigation is underway.
