From: Eagle_wng Policeman injured in attack in Kabardino-Balkaria
NALCHIK, September 8 (Itar-Tass) -- A police officer was injured in shooting at the traffic patrol post Azau at the entrance to the city of Tyrnyauz of the Elbrus region of Kabardino-Balkaria, officer of the Investigation Committee at the Russian Prosecutor’s Office for Kabardino-Balkaria Rashid Urusov told ITAR-TASS on Monday.
“Unidentified people opened submachine-gun fire on the traffic patrol post and wounded the commander of a detachment of the traffic police patrol service,” Urusov said. According to him, the policeman was hospitalised. The attackers, who escaped from the site of the crime, are being searched for.
“An investigation team is working at the site of the incident, details of the incident are being ascertained,” Urusov said.
