16/2/2008 Protest actions in Ingushetia postponed: authorities promise to release some of the oppositionists
In Ingushetia, actions of civil disobedience have been postponed till February 19 against the promise of the authorities to release the first six persons arrested during the events on January 26.
The website "Ingushetia.Ru" reports that Magomed Khazbiev came back to the office of the organizing committee of the actions after his talks with Kotiev, head of Nazran GOVD (Chief City Interior Unit), and representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Ingushetia (RI) and said that both Kotiev and people of Musa Medov, RI's Minister of Interior, had promised to bring on February 18 from Pyatigorsk to Nazran six arrested residents of the Republic accused of mass disorders on January 26.
On February 15, the Court satisfied the petitions on arrest of two detainees - Magomed Evloev and Maksharip Aushev - suspected of organizing mass disorders in Nazran on January 26.
