Georgia Denies Entry to Russian Spy Plane

Commander of the General Staff of the Russian Air Forces Boris Cheltsov said that Georgia denied Russian long-range reconnaissance aircraft A-50 (NATO codename: Mainstay) to over fly Georgia as a part of the maneuvers of the air forces of the Commonwealth of Independent State (CIS) member countries, which was launched on April 5, RIA Novosti and Itar-Tass news agencies reported.

Boris Cheltsov said that two A-50 aircrafts will participate in the maneuvers. “One will conduct a flight over Belarus.

It was planned that another would have been used in the Armenian airspace; however, Georgia did not let it [the A-50 aircraft] through its airspace,” Commander of the General Staff of the Russian Air Forces stated.

Maskhadov’s Last Earthly Comments about the Upcoming "Round Table"

Five days before his death, the Chechen leader predicted who would represent the separatists in Strasbourg and also why it was essential that Vladimir Putin meet with him personally.

Sanobar Shermatova, special to Prague Watchdog

“Chechen citizens who have been prepared by the Russian federals, traitors and turncoats will take part in this Round Table meeting as will several cowardly members of our parliament. The Chechen separatist president Aslan Maskhadov said these words exactly five days before his death, during an interview with the underground Chechen radio station Marsho (Freedom). And on March 8, several hours before his death, the entire interview appeared on the Daymohk website. The site also hosts an audio of the interview in the Chechen language that ...

To Cardinal Joseph Ratsinger, the Dean of the Board of the Cardinals of Vatican

In the name of Merciful and Gracious Allah!

The Chechen people and the Government of the Chechen Republic Ichkeria with great regret have apprehended the news about the end of the terrestrial life of Roman Papa John Paul II – the Head of the state Vatican , being the center of the Christian Catholic Church.

Chechen people know about the personal contribution of the Pontific into strengthening of peace all over the world and appreciate his appeals to put an end to the bloodshed in the territory of our country.

To our great regret, the blasphemous policy of the Kremlin regime constructed on trade with human blood and true belief, prevented to hear the voice of this authoritative politician and religious ...

Chechen Times: An Outstanding Humanist

An outstanding humanist

The Vatican announced Saturday evening that the pope died. With his globetrotting and visits to more than 100 countries, he increased the international presence and clout of the papacy and drew attention to human rights and world peace.

In many areas John Paul II was ahead of his time, and even began to use his position in the Church to speak out on world affairs. His relentless fight against human rights breaches, oppression, bondage and war gained him not only admirers within the Church, but worldwide.

Since his first days in the Vatican, he showed an impressive grasp of peace-making diplomacy, which the most-traveled pope in history often translated into action on his numerous visits to foreign countries. Nor die he shy away from entering the political fray and criticized world leaders for waging war and neglecting the poor in their quest for ever-more material gains.
