Russia is sick of the heavy form of madness

Russian empire has already gone through itself. Its existence is not more necessary for anybody - neither to people occupied by it, nor to its own people - and, moreover, it represents fatal threat for mankind.

The planned murder of Chechen people is only the first part, the most appreciable and visible fact in a circuit of uncountable crimes of Russian empire. Genocide exposed not only peoples of Caucasus, but also the Baltics, and Ukrain, the bear paw of this bloos-suker predator covered all Central Asia and Kazakhstan recently... Today on one end of their decayed empire they kill Chechens, on the other - do not surrend to civilized mankind of Kenigsberg,, the historical city, which was once deprived from German and transformed it in typical soviet non staff cesspit by them; and on the third - have seized by teeth ...

Lech Walesa: "No manipulation or treason" behind Solidarity
The former Polish President Lech Walesa has paid tribute to the independent trade union Solidarity which played a key role in the collapse of communism.

The strike by Solidarity members "changed the face of the Earth," Mr Walesa told the Polish parliament.

He was launching three days of celebrations on the 25th anniversary of Solidarity, founded by him and fellow shipyard workers in Gdansk.

Several European leaders are going to Poland for the celebrations.

They include the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and the German President Horst Koehler.

The celebrations will culminate with a mass in Gdansk on Wednesday.

Mr Walesa, who spearheaded the Gdansk protests, said that in 1980, "arm-in-arm, workers and intellectuals and even, to some extent, recent opponents joined together in a march to freedom".

"For the first time in post-war times, ...

Current defense budget amount puts Russia alongside with NATO members
08/26/2005 15:23

The recent Russian-Chinese military exercise cost very little for the Russian budget

Russia's defense budget in 2006 will give first priority to the development of the national Air Force and the Anti-Aircraft Defense. Russia's Minister for Defense, Sergei Ivanov, told reporters after he returned to Moscow from China that the real defense budget of Russia was gaining about ten percent during the recent five years, although the state budget of Russia did not become militarized.

"Judging upon the capacity of our defense budget, Russia stands alongside with NATO states. However, we need to maintain balance between the spending on military machines and the social support, or there will be no one to work on those machines otherwise," the minister said. "The priority in the defense budget 2006 will be given to Air Force and the Anti-Aircraft Defense," Sergei Ivanov said. The minister ...

«Ideological symbols of Lenin and Stalin» to be banned in Lithuania

Эта же новость по-русски

Lithuanian rightists, conservative activists from the Homeland Union plan to introduce a draft law urging to ban «ideological symbols of Lenin and Stalin» into the Seim. The Soviet symbols ware equated to Nazi symbols. According to Vilia Aleknaite-Abramikene, member of the group initiated the law, the draft claims to «treat with much strictness to the use of Nazi and similar symbols,» reports OMNI naujienos. Talking about «similar» symbols, she meant symbols of the Soviet Union.

The plans to ban Soviet symbols have been nurtured for a long time, but the process was precipitated by an incident in early August, when the leader of Lithuanian ultrarightists Mindaugas Murza visited a congress of political prisoners and exiles and started waving a flag with symbols resembling Nazi. It is not clear why the incident provoked a decision to put an end ...

The Big Hatred of a Small Fuehrer

“Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind” (a national proverb).

Last week they beat the Polish diplomats and journalists in Russia . Khodorkovsky and Lebedev were sent to common cells of the Matrosskaya Tishina and then ill Lebedev was replaced also into a punishment cell. In the Astrakhan region for several days about three hundred Chechens and Kalmyks with exasperation were killing and crippling each other, burning houses and cars. In the Chechen Republic employees of the department “T” and so-called Chechen militiamen, probably, not having shared something, arranged firing among themselves: there are several people killed and раненых . At the Turkish and Egyptian resorts holiday-makers demanded to settle out from them tourists from Russia for their roughness, lack of respect for associates and open rudeness.

Why do I write about all these events, which at first sight seem to have nothing in ...
