Ukrainian young people attempt to enter Russian fleet building
UKRAINE, Simferopol, Crimea (Our Correspondent) On June 29th, the staff of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia demanded that Crimean authorities ensure proper order near the staff building. On June 28th, several members of the Ukrainian organization "Student Brotherhood" attempted to storm the territory, but were stopped by Russian seamen.

The Georgian Parliament today adopted a Resolution on withdrawal of all Russian peacekeeping forces from Georgia by 144 votes for. According to Georgian Speaker Nino Burjanadze, it is a historical document and in compliance with it the Georgian Government is charged to launch procedures necessary for withdrawal of all Russian peacekeeping forces from the country. The Resolution notes the Government is charged "to launch procedures necessary for stopping peacekeeping operations in Abkhazia and former autonomous district of South Ossetia, immediately start work to change the peacekeeping format, activate works on proper informing of the population of Abkhazia and former autonomous district of South Ossetia, to restore confidence maximally, establishment of standards of peaceful, democratic life on the territory of Georgia."

Russia Blasts Georgia’s Resolution on Peacekeepers Pullout

MOSCOW - Russia’s Foreign Ministry said Tuesday the Georgian parliament’s resolution on withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from its conflict zones was an irresponsible action.

The Georgian parliament passed a resolution earlier on Tuesday advising the government to suspend peacekeeping operations in the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia and take urgent measures to introduce international peacekeepers.

“Tbilisi’s irresponsible actions may cause irretrievable damage to the peaceful conflict resolution,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry also said Russia “would take all necessary measures to ensure the implementation of the existing international agreements, prevent destabilization of the situation in the region and protect rights and interests of Russian nationals living there.”
