CHECHENPRESS: Zbignev Bjzezinski Comments On Chechens Struggle

posted by FerrasB on December, 2005 as Imperialism

Zbignev Bjzezinski: "The struggle of Chechens is worthy of admiration and sympathy!"

We call attention of readers to interview of outstanding American political scientist and the statesman doctor Zbignev Bjzezinski reported in the radio station "The voice of America". The interview was held on the eve of Kremlin dramatizations of so-called "parliamentary elections" in the Chechen Republic.

*********

1. How do you regard the situation in the Chechen Republic?

From the human and social point of view, the situation is awful and very sad. The sea of sufferings. From the political point of view, the situation is also extremely negative, both for Chechens who are in depression and for Russia because the situation which occurs in the Chechen Republic, creates conditions for continuation of reprisals, for development of autocracy, for strengthening of the police control over the society.

2. What you think about forthcoming parliamentary elections?

It will be fraudulent elections because they do ...

CHECHENPRESS: Who Exterminates Russians?

Who exterminates Russians?

On a photo: peaceful inhabitants of the Chechen Republic of the Russian nationality, got under bombardments of occupational bands

They decayed for so long, that have forgotten to die...

Constantly in television programs rises the question that Russian people dies out. Let me ask, what this phrase means, that it dies out? Whether someone goes on court yard with automatic devices and shoots Russian people, whether Russian people dies out from drinking and hopelessness of life? (By the way, settling of Russia by foreigners is NOT the REASON, but a consequence of such extinction because water runs into emptiness. But why do they appear?)

Want to tell, that on a background of these shameless transfers about Russian people, - which for a long time is dead or, paraphrasing Niezsche, it is possible to tell, that

"They decayed for so long, that have forgotten to die...", ‰ BEFORE OUR EYES ...

NATO is seeking to “weaken” the Commonwealth of Independent States via a “visible attempt to draw CIS states” into its ranks, but Russia will defend its national interests, General of the Army Yury Baluyevsky, chief of Russia’s general staff, said
on Thursday.

“We are following NATO attempts to involve CIS states in the bloc’s activity and weaken relations with Russia,” he was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying.

The general said that Russia would defend its interests, but most likely this did not mean using force.

“No antagonism or ideological contradictions exist at present between Russia and NATO, something that existed between the Warsaw Treaty Organization and the alliance in the Cold War years,” Baluyevsky was quoted by Interfax as saying.

“Present-day relations between Russia and NATO are influenced ...

Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, in an interview given to the Profil magazine, talks candidly on what Russia’s military influence in the post-Soviet bloc, the CIS, really means, and whether the preemptive strikes his doctrine stipulates could have been used to quell the revolutions that have mushroomed in Russia’s backyard. But just who are this nuclear power’s real enemies?

A year and a half ago, in a document titled the “Ivanov doctrine”, Russia proclaimed the right to preemptive strikes against CIS countries. In light of the events in the last months in the former Soviet states, why didn’t you strike?

I want to remind you that preemptive strikes do not mean military action or attacks on this or that country, in our understanding. We identified right away what we meant: ...

The presidents of nine countries are gathering in the Ukrainian capital Kiev for the Community of Democratic Choice forum, widely seen as a challenge to Moscow’s dominant influence, the Associated Press agency reported on Friday.

Officially, the summit is aimed at promoting democracy in a region that spent decades under totalitarian Soviet-era regimes.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, who took office after last year’s Orange Revolution, is playing host to the event that also includes the region’s other revolutionary, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, as well as the presidents of the three ex-Soviet republics in the Baltics.

Notably missing from the participant list was Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who is criticized by the United States as Europe’s last ...
