The following letter was sent by Mr. Zack Barsaqua, President of the Circassian Cultural Institute, U. S. A., to "The Circassian Leaders and Activists of Jordan" regarding Sufian Jamokhwa’s visit to Jordan, to promote for his suspicious plan of holding a so-called Circassian games in the name of Circassiad:

I am writing this letter to you in regards to Sufian Jamokhwa’s visit to Jordan. We in America have had the opportunity to speak and listen to his project for the Circassiada Olympic Games.

Medvedev Reappoints 2 Tarnished Governors

President Dmitry Medvedev over the holidays fired two governors, reappointed four others and issued an unusual warning to regional leaders that three terms in office might be enough.

Medvedev was lambasted by opposition activists for reappointing Primorye Governor Sergei Darkin and Alexander Berdnikov of the Altai republic, both of whom have been implicated in corrupt practices and have been identified by analysts as likely candidates for replacement.

The Kremlin said in statements released on its web site last week that Medvedev asked local legislatures to confirm Darkin and Berdnikov for another term.

Berdnikov has been accused by national media of organizing and covering up illegal hunting trips after a helicopter crash exactly a year ago revealed that government officials, including Berdnikov’s deputy, were shooting endangered sheep in the mountainous region.

Medvedev Tells FSB to ‘Regularly’ Kill Rebels

A suicide bombing has killed six police officers in Makhachkala amid a sharp escalation in violence as President Dmitry Medvedev considers who will rule Dagestan for the next four years.

Medvedev on Friday ordered Federal Security Service director Alexander Bortnikov to “regularly” and “systematically” kill insurgents in the North Caucasus, the Kremlin’s web site said.

The president also ordered Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev to reinforce security in Dagestan and provide support to the relatives of the six police officers killed in the bombing outside a police building Wednesday, the Kremlin said.

Nurgaliyev told reporters in Makhachkala, Dagestan’s capital, on Friday that ministry investigators would team up with the Investigative Committee to probe large-scale crimes in Dagestan, Interfax reported.

The term of Dagestan’s incumbent president, Mukhu Aliyev, expires next month. Violence in the North Caucasus is often linked to regional appointments made by federal authorities.

Another strange (in the slang of the formal Kremlin leader, "idiotic") statement of the Kremlin boss Medvedev caused both confusion and resentment in South Caucasus.

The Georgian News Agency "Expert" posted an article on its website entitled "Medvedev decided to clean up the Caucasus from Caucasians". The article says:

"Medvedev decided to clean up the entire Caucasus from Caucasians literally equating all of them to bandits and terrorists. "As far as these bandits are concerned, our policy remains the same," Medvedev said during a meeting with the director of the FSB Bortnikov. - It is necessary simply to destroy them, to do this harshly, systematically and on a regular basis because unfortunately the bandit underground still exists".

A plan to unite Russia's Muslim spiritual directorates (DUMs) under a single mufti broke down last week after the Muslim leader who originally proposed it realized it could cost him his position. While some circles in Moscow had initially backed the proposals, others apparently realized just how dangerous combining these institutions might prove to be.

On December 5, Talgat Tajuddin, who heads the Central Spiritual Board of Muslims (TsDUM), proposed the creation of a single Muslim power vertical to be headed by his rival, Council of Muftis of Russia head Ravil Gainutdin. Tajuddin himself would be named Sheikh ul-Islam, and Ismail Berdiyev, the head of Russia's third major Muslim organization, the Coordinating Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus, head of the Supreme Shari'a Court.
