Russian Imperialism And Media
In principle and throughout the years media and its enormous audio,
written and visual tools had always been and still an essential factor of
addressing individuals, societies and nations in order to tackle and/or deliver
a message that the originator is intending to convey, for the purpose of
reflecting ideas or facts on the ground. Unfortunately good and bad intents and
purposes might be mixed together once
deception is the greatest concern of the opportunist side when
an evil element that intends to acquire the tools and opportunities
to pass their wicked agenda through lying, hypocrisy, duplicity, and circulate,
and to distribute their malicious and destructive
conceptions in order to show their injustice and
aggression in a completely different template, regardless of the harm
effects they create to justice, truth, rights and human suffering.
However, integrity and commitment
oblige the fairness of those analysts, human rights activists and NGO’s who
analyze, publish and make public any
outcome that may pertain to the situation while at the same time, they are not
under the pressure and/or the control of governments, authorities and
intelligence arms and branches. That would
be easily detected by the average observers and witnesses, beside the
documented data while distinguishing and following the eternal variance between "good and
evil”, "right and wrong”, and
"war and peace” that would at the end of the day affect the fate of human
beings and would
determine and identify the structure and characteristics of human civilization.
Propaganda, which is
considered and exemplified negative media, by using different means of
primitive and developed methods and equipment, is apparently the most dangerous
and the evil of all means available for the disinterested process used by
imperial and colonial authorities, totalitarian and dictator regimes, and
intelligent services/militarized leaderships that got predetermined well for
adventure and for controlling the fate and destiny of other nations, by using
and commissioning of individuals, expert establishments and equipment to
implement certain procedures and policies.
Deceptive and
tendentious Russian authorities and leaders, and since present Russia had
erupted as an entity by the Muscovites approximately 500 years ago when they
gathered people from different European/Asian origins, they have always had
misinformed the Russian citizens themselves and the world, which they didn’t
stop there, but they even diverted facts of their aggressive policies and
committed crimes against more than 100 nations for approximately the recent 450
years towards the very oppressed nations that had endured Russian committed
crimes which resulted in premeditated intentional killing and murder,
slaughter, military occupation, total destruction, theft and control over valuables, live-stock, properties and
possessions of the victims,
genocide and total elimination of nations, assimilation of small nations in the
so-called Russian larger (pot) nation,
and all that had occurred for many nations. Nonetheless, the
cold-blooded Russian authorities and officials, with unrivaled bravado they
tend to change facts and figures!
It is unprecedented to
see a state that is considered a super power by some, who is a member in the
United Nations and a permanent member in the Security Council which tries and leans to change and interpret well-known historical
events to upside-down concepts, such as, changing historical particulars to suit
imperial ambitions. The following are referred to which
are not limited to many heinous and
unacceptable acts in the scale of human rights and the right of "ordinary citizens” to receive protection by the "State”: Imperial and colonial details are concealed and
when reminded by the concerned, different causes and results are fabricated. They keep changing and manipulating
names and dates of real events in one hand and to adopt certain dates and occasions
that had never taken place in another.
Facts are twisted to the
extent that they are ready to show a flow
of crocodile tears over the victims
of their own doings. That
example could had been seen in the Chechen example, when the mighty Russian
missile, artillery beside the air force bombings all together were used against
a tiny space (comparatively speaking) especially that the most aggressive acts
were committed against
thousands of Chechens in the
Chechen capital city of Grozny which was leveled to the ground and transferred
to be a concrete jungle, and at the same time Grozny was raised again from the
rubbles and a modern city was
built by the Russian deputized rulers in order to hide the trace of the Russian
enormous destruction.
They keep dividing and
subdividing occupied territories beside attaching and detaching occupied
regions and nations -- the Caucasus nations’ administrative regions are
continuously changing and the last of this series is detaching the
Circassian republic of Adygeya from the North Caucasus administrative area and
the annex of the of Adygeya with the Southern Federal District, beside forming
the North Caucasus District that annexed the other Circassian republics KBR and
KCR with Chechnya, Dagestan and others. There is always a possibility of abolition or a division between
different regions due to any imperial cause.
Assimilating and melting of various indigenous peoples in the midst of new multi-origin community and the
elimination of different cultures and languages with
the passage of time would lead to the creation of generations to forget their origins,
languages and cultures.
Phenomenon to take
the aggressive initiative, particularly the preservation of innocent lives – The initiation of military and armed acts against
alleged terrorists holding innocent hostages such as the Moscow Theatre hostage crisis (to the extent of using of nerve gas that is internationally prohibited), and the Beslan School hostage takers! Those acts showed that there are military
units exerting excessive force, without looking or thinking of consequences.
Assassinating and silencing journalists,
respected public figures and human rights activists in order to adopt a heavy-handed policy against any person
who does not comply with the orders of the "security services”! In that aspect, there is a report that
mentions and lists "The Putin Murders” from November, 1998 until July, 2009, and a "List of Journalists Killed in Russia”.
Assuming ignorance of all people, is the mouthpiece and the policy
of arrogance and contempt toward all the
oppressed and the overshadowed, in a country that was built on the blood and
the skulls of innocent victims that happened to be on the way of the expert
killers!
Develop and promote information
So as the Russian state would keep spouting and broadcasting the
largesse of colonial mentality of fabricated news in line with their pursued
policies to dictate those who listen to them of what the rulers of the Kremlin
want them to listen to and to publish for the people, as the state organs control
all government and non-government media means, while the private media is confused,
unable, closely-watched and incapable due to pressure, prosecutions and threats
and assaults process on journalists and serial murder against them, if they
wanted to deal with any subject that does not appeal to the existing policy of
intimidation.
In addition to controlling all means and tools of the internal media, expert
systems attempt to influence the media in different countries, including the acquire
of conscience, and principles, bribery and delivery and the Russian perspective

reported by the Russian News Agency, the cause of the launch of the TV Channel
"is the hope of promoting sense of tolerance, after more than three years of
launching an Arabic language TV”, as the satellite channel - proposed by
President Dmitry Medvedev two years ago - will start broadcasting next February
or March, Perhaps Russia has remembered now that there is 20 million Muslims in
the country or the equivalent of seven of the total population …
Exposed Propaganda
An example for the cooperation of the Russian official media with the
international media is a tribute of Al Jazeera Satellite Television Channel with
the cooperation that the "Russia Today" Channel during
"Eye on Russia" program which
was inaugurated in 16, October, 2010 in Moscow and lasted for a week. It
was reported that the Director-General of Al Jazeera Network welcomed "the
contribution of "Russia Today" Channel in processing of a number of
technical and logistic aspects to launch this activity, and such care
represents a sublime level of media cooperation between the two parties”. With
the Director of "Russia Today" Channel, Haider Oghanin considered that
"cooperation with Al Jazeera comes to the significant media role that Al
Jazeera plays in the Arab and Muslim world”, and "Russia Today" seeks
"to strengthen its position as an Arabic-speaking channel, and claimed
that "the channel provides logistics’ services without any interference”,
he added, "we are helping Al Jazeera and we will be pleased that
Al-Jazeera would provide the true picture of Russia without embellishment or
decoration”. While the goal of Arabic-language broadcasting is to provide
information on political, economic, social and cultural issues in Russia,
through the provision of presenting news bulletins in addition to political,
documentary and cultural programs which are not free of inaccuracies, distortions
and falsifications! In a commentary for the reader "Siham Algezaeri"
entitled "Russia's interest is to cooperate", which said: "For the
attention of an active Arabic-speaking channel in the Arabic World that is
effective in public Russian opinion, and broadcasts lessons and programs about Russia;
that will be a free publicity for Russia, that is linked by many affairs with
the Arab World, and this is a free service that Al-Jazeera Channel has provided
for Russia”, and another one had commented on the story under the nickname of
"Stalin" who wrote under the title of "Who are the Russians”, and said:
"The Russians are one of the most hostile and contempt nations for Muslims and their
eradication of Afghans is striking examples or their crime against
Chechnya when they had surrounded its capital city, and fired all kinds of missiles
and heavy shells on its population, leaving a quarter-million killed people, also
their position against the Muslims in Bosnia-Herzegovina and their standing
with the Serbs. Or what they are doing today in Dagestan
of daily killings against any suspect which goes-by unnoticed. Putin had
ordered not take to arrest any live one, but to be killed in the street or at
home, and in spit of this, the Muslims think that the Russians are their
friends”, which shows the knowledge some people about the
Russian intentions.
About Russia's readiness to launch a television channel intended for
Muslims, Al-Jazeera Internet site described
as of 21, January, 2011 that was introduced "in the hope of promoting tolerance”,
the story added According to the Russian Information Agency quoting the Mufti
of Russia as saying: "It is necessary to transplant spirit of
tolerance towards representatives of other religions, pointing out that the
channel programs will be targeted to viewers of young people”. Then the
news concluded: "The launch of the TV service at a time, Moscow
is trying to strengthen its presence and its role in the course of events in
the Middle East in which it is living to the
rhythm of several crises with international implications”. But the comments of readers should be noticed,
stating as "Osama" under the title "stop the genocide in Chechnya”, and
the comment said: "It is preferable if it only suspended in parallel, the
genocide of Muslims in Chechnya”, then "Khalid” wrote from Cairo: "a successful
step we hope it will have the good intentions, and that is what we have said in
the ... site”, then a third one wrote under the name, "living in Russian"
from Russia: "The launch of a Channel by Medvedev is not because he became a
faithful believer and he likes Muslims, but because instead of Muslims learning
religion in the right way, they will learn their religion the Russian way; they
will teach them a religion that is not Islam nor it is blasphemy, that is between
this and that and even if you look at Southern Russian with Islamic density,
who ever wears Islamic headscarf is considered terrorist, who prays is
considered a killer, and they don’t know anything about Islam, except what Russia
permits”. That is proving "Deeds not talk”.
Another
example of propaganda is the continuation of brainwashing, and the promotion of
the policies of the police-authority implemented by the intelligence services
and its agents, of what was declared in 21, January, that Russian spy Anna Chapman has launched a
weekly TV program of its own that will be every Friday, which is the latest
ideological invasion to the public opinion since she was deported from the United
States last July in an exchange deal similar to what was taking place during
the Cold War. Reuter’s news agency said that the 28 years old girl with red
hair who used to pose in lingerie, has attended a launch of a satellite TV channel
and so, she had a sing-a-long with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin since she
returned to Russia
following her arrest and expulsion with nine other Russian sleeper agents.
Chapman said: "I will reveal all the secrets” and that within one hour nightly show
called "Secrets of the world with Anna Chapman”, which was aired on private TV
channel (REN TV). Chapman stated, who wore a black and red velvet dress a report
on what is called a "miracle" child of the region of Dagestan in the North Caucasus with a Muslim majority, where an Islamic
insurgency is raging. She added that in the year 2009, the media reports that
the child had caused upheaval in the region when the imams said that pinkish
scrawled verses from the Koran
had appeared and faded on the body of the child every few
days. Experts in the region ruled out the allegations, saying the
impoverished, violence-torn region was clinging to any hint of hope. Chapman
became one of the most famous Russian spies when photographs she posted on
social networking site "Face Book” were plastered across the front pages of
tabloid newspapers around the world, and despite the fact that both the Kremlin
and Russian media have shown their celebrations, it was stated that the Russian
spy network, has failed to secure any major intelligence information prior
to the arrest of its members, noting that Anna Chapman has registered her name as a
trademark!
Abstract
The various practices whether open
or secret to pass monitoring reports of the media, information or broadcast
news-oriented and tendentious rumors can not lead except to further distortion
of events and ignore the facts and the importance of communications with the
other parties and public opinion which, even if it is kept away for the most part
from reality, and definitely the truth one day will prevail.
