Ustinov
Yelling To Stop The Migration Of Russians From The Caucasus
Moscow / Caucasus News Agency - The Special Representative of
the Russian Presidency in the Southern Federal districts Vladimir Ustinov had
requested from the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to help to stop the increase
of migration of Russians from the North Caucasus.
Ustinov, speaking via satellite meeting was held
with Medvedev in the tenth of the current month of the problems of the North Caucasus region and in particular unemployment,
which he said had made the Russians to leave the area. The Russian
representative said that the problem reached critical proportions and in
particular in the Republics of Chechnya and Ingushetia, adding: "There is
a slight decline, but we have a problem in the national republics. Production
has declined, especially in the defense industry and the Russians in particular
are leaving their jobs. We are now in the process of preparing an extensive
letter to Your Excellency on this issue, hoping that we get you to make the
industry in our hands in those national republics, and not to let Russians (leave
the Caucasus)”.
Ustinov said he hoped that the development of
construction field would form in parallel with the Olympic Games, which will be
held in Sochi in 2014, a solution to the unemployment problem, adding:
"There are many unemployed builders in our national republics, and we hope
that we will be better off from construction works that will be undertaken in
the Olympics framework”. However, Ustinov complained at the same time the
preference of those responsible for the Olympics, to bring cadres from Turkey or China rather than to benefit of local
cadres.
