The Minister of foreign affairs of Abkhazia Sergey Shamba considers that Russia could not undertake obligations about organization on the Russian-Abkhazian border on the Psou river of the Russian-Georgian customs control.
"Information on legalization of the customhouse-check points on Abkhazian and Southern Ossetian sites of the border is distributed by the Georgian party. The Georgian party offers Russia such variants, but without our consent they cannot be implemented".
That was commented that way in the interview to “Caucasian unit" correspondent Sergey Shamba in relation to the statement of the Georgian party that "during the bilateral consultations in Geneva the last week Georgia and Russia have achieved the basic arrangement on legalization of the customhouse-check points on Abkhazian and Southern Ossetian sites of the Georgian-Russian border".
"How can they do it without our consent?! First, the Russian party will hardly do that. It can offer to discuss this question with Abkhazia, and can not undertake such obligations, because we shall not agree", - the head of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Abkhazia emphasized.
According to Shamba, it is possible to assume what Russia would say to Georgia: "go and bring on the Abkhazian party of the border customs officers and frontier guards", but how will they do it?" We shall never agree with that. The border of Georgia comes to an end on the Ingur river in Gali area, and to the Russian-Abkhazian border on the Psou river Georgia has no any relation", - Shamba declared.
The Minister of foreign affairs of Abkhazia excluded that Russia had undertaken the obligations about establishment on the border of Abkhazia with Krasnodar territory of Georgian customs officers.
Let's note that on 25 February a number of mass-media referring to the deputy minister of economic development of Georgia Tamar Kovzeridze published information that "during the bilateral consultations in Geneva the last week Georgia and Russia had achieved the basic arrangement on legalization of customhouse-check points on Abkhazian and Southern Ossetian sites of the Georgian-Russian border".
Earlier the press-service of the Ministry of transport of Russia had informed that on results of the past in Moscow on 19 and 20 February negotiations of the aviation services Russia and Georgia had agreed on renewal of the direct air communication.
Russia had suspended the aircraft service with Georgia in October, 2006. According to the statement of the Federal aero navigation service of Russian Federation, it took place because of the debts of the Georgian users of the air space. The Georgian airlines in their turn denied the fact of such debts.
Russian Federation also suspended the railway, the automobile and the post communications with Georgia. The sanctions appeared to be continuation of the espionage scandal burst in Georgia in September 27, 2006.
