The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs protested against the decision as follows: "This [decision] is a very dangerous provocation because it encourages separatism and deepen the tension in the conflict zone. The Russian administration ignores the sovereignty as well as territorial integrity of Georgia."
"Russia no longer feels the need to comply with the 1996 CIS decision to impose embargo [on Abkhazia]," The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday in its written statement. (Agency Caucasus)
