Adam Tleuj is now the new Chief Federal Inspector of Adygea, a supposedly autonomous republic in the northwestern Caucasus.
Valeri Shniakin, Assistant to Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin in South Federal Provinces (North Caucasus), went to Maikop and introduced there Tleuj to the Adygei cabinet.
Tleuj, who holds a degree of PhD in philosophical sciences, was the Adygei representative in the Federation Council, or upper chamber of the Russian Parliament, from 2001 to 2006. Tleuj also worked as councilor to the president of Federation Council. He was the speaker of Adygei Parliament in the early 1990s. KU/ÖZ/FT
