TBILISI. Sept 23 (Interfax) - Georgia's accession to NATO could strongly impact Russian-Georgian relations, Russian Ambassador to Georgia Vyacheslav Kovalenko told representatives of the Tbilisi public on Saturday at a meeting organized by the Georgian-Russian Friendship and Unity Foundation.
"If Georgia joins NATO the quality of Russian-Georgian relations will change and Russia will have to take appropriate measures in order to ensure its security," the Russian ambassador said.
