As REGNUM reported earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin started his official visit to Kazakhstan today.
As a REGNUM correspondent reports, during the talks Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev announced that Kazakhstan adheres to the principle that most part of oil if not all must go through the Russian territory. Nazarbayev stressed that the fuel and energy complex is the major issue in cooperation of the two countries. He cited following figures: “Last year, we transported 52.3 mln tons of Kazakh oil, 42 mln tons of them went through Russia.”
