Russian Senior Peacekeeper Released After Paying Fine

Col. Aleksandr Kazantsev, commander of the Gali district headquarters of the Russian peacekeeping troops in the Abkhaz conflict zone was released after paying fine on January 9.
Russian officer was taken to the police station in Zugdidi, town in Samegrelo region at the administrative border with breakaway Abkhazia, after Georgian police stopped his vehicle, which had two different number plates on its front and back.
