The Russian government plans to allocate 43.5 million rubles, or $1.5 million, in 2006 to inform the nation of the ongoing counter-terrorist campaign in the country and ensure public safety, the State Duma committee for information policy reported Tuesday.
“Those funds have been included in the section ”Culture, Cinematography and Mass Media“ of the draft budget plan for 2006, a committee official told the Interfax news agency.
