Malicious Demons of Russia
For certain, poet Tyutchev was thinking about lofted things, when he was writing his well-known "It is impossible to understand Russia with mind". Probably, he simply opposed the "traditional spirituality" of Russia to the "rationalism" of the West, well-known to him by his work at a diplomatic service. But we shall not guess, what the well-known poet meant, for the souls of poets are the same incomprehensible for mind, as Russia . We shall say only, that there are only two ways of comprehension - reason or belief. That's why Tyutchev finished the quatrain with the line, "It is possible only to believe in Russia ".
We shall agree, however, that there is some distinction between the concepts "to believe in Russia " and "to believe Russia ". And what is Russia ? It is a country, where there are many fields, woods and the rivers. These are various constructions, which are named an artificial landscape. And, at last, it is people. Then it turns out, that "the belief in Russia " is a belief in the ground, the rivers, woods, houses, roads, factories and the people living in this environment. What does the "belief" in this mean? What kind of religion is it?
It is difficult, but possible to admit, that there is a person, who with religious eagerness believes in a combination consisting of natural and artificial objects, and also the people connected with them with their place of residence, that is, concerns to the country as to an object of worship.
If any country inspires not simply love, but sacred ecstasy, becoming an object of religious worship, it is already pathology. "Simple" love to the native land induces to improve it, to clear of everything nasty, to decorate it with virtues. If the native land is equalized with an idol, as they believe and worship to it like to a deity, what lacks can exist here? Actually, a deity by definition is perfect and faultless, the same as any actions and displays of it are perfect and faultless. At such attitude anything, done by the native land or in the name of the native land, is outside of criticism, as they say, on the other side of good and evil.
The Native land, Russia for a Russian person is historically identified with the Russian state. All the numerous victims, sacrificed by Russians, the whole ocean of the shed blood, their own and other's, is a sacrificial hecatomb to the altar of the state. But when you remember, that a state is a political establishment defending always concrete political and economic interests, the understanding of all monstrosity of lie, in which Russian people live, comes on mind. As the associative line, uniting concepts " Russia - the Native land - the Russian state", does not make fields and the rivers an object of religious worship, but those, who during modern historical life is in the Kremlin.
That is, it makes Putin, Patrushev, Ivanov with Petrov and Sidorov an object of worship – it is difficult to remember all these idols' surnames. They define today "the interests of the state" and, having turned the associative line in the opposite direction, you face the same Petrovs and Sidorovs, as objects of blind religious worship of those, who "believes in Russia ". But the named and not named people hardly reach the level of a sacred, let alone deities. Really, even the most rested Russian patriot would burst out laughing, having heard the word-combination "sacred Surkov". But blindly "believing in Russia " and in everything, what is done "in the name of Russia " by the Kremlin inhabitants, a Russian, as a matter of fact, uplifts all these pettiness in the government of the state to the level of pagan deities. And pagan deities, as any priest or mullah will explain it to you, actually are demons.
For the reason, that Russians "believe in Russia ", it is impossible to believe Russia . For to believe Russia means to believe in honesty, decency, philanthropy of those, who heads the Russian state. It means to believe millions of Russian people, who with identical thoughtlessness and enthusiasm direct in any direction, pointed to them by "the Kremlin idols". And always, without any exception for the whole one thousand years of existence of Russia , each of these directions, which the idol of the state pointed to the Russian people, had violence, blood, poverty and enthrallment of this strange people as the consequence. And Russians, having thought a little about the historical destiny, would find out the demonic nature of their "deity" themselves.
