Kavkaz - Center: Cadre Crisis In FSB Of Russian Federation

Cadre crisis in FSB of Russian Federation

Information sources from force structures of Russia rivaling the FSB spread reports about the crisis situation with regard to cadres of FSB, which is in acute need of qualified and skilled professionals.

The level of the FSB operatives has fallen to the lowest grade. In this connection the Kremlin regime is working out arrangements for the so-called “three-years' work of the graduates of State institutes of higher education”. It is also intended to transfer the personnel from the superior and middle units of intelligence service abroad, from the reconnaissance parties, as well as from government departments, whose activities are related with the cadres.

The fact that the FSB Academy has serious problems today with regard to the students, as most of them are drug addicts, and that's a widely known secret, is also evidence of the crisis situation in FSB.

Standard of general education and political level of the tested candidates is so low that some of them cannot even answer when the October Revolution took place, and name Miloshevic as president of Byelorussia .

According to the FSB officials, that is caused by the circumstances that big companies and commercial structures, having examined the graduates, offer handsome salaries to the successful students; then the candidates are chosen by ministries and departments, and only after that it is the turn of FSB.

Matters took such a turn that certain members of the FSB staff drop invitation letters to work in FSB into the post boxes of possible candidates.

Negative reaction of the society is a consequence of poor professional training of chekists.

Recruitment of foreigners is also carried out on a low operative level. To demonstrate decline of the level of permanent staff of FSB mention should be made of the failure of recruitment of an American citizen in Archangelsk, where an employee of FSB, being under cover, made a recruiting conversation in the restaurant. As a result, the unlucky FSB agent, trying to make drunk the American, got drunk to death, ran from the restaurant and was detained by militia for the breach of public order.

Moreover, next day the American came to the FSB regional department and inquired about the state if health of the recruiter and asked if he could do anything for him…
