The telegram of the President of the CRI in connection with the death of the Head of Vatican
To Cardinal Joseph Ratsinger, the Dean of the Board of the Cardinals of Vatican
In the name of Merciful and Gracious Allah!
The Chechen people and the Government of the Chechen Republic Ichkeria with great regret have apprehended the news about the end of the terrestrial life of Roman Papa John Paul II – the Head of the state Vatican , being the center of the Christian Catholic Church.
Chechen people know about the personal contribution of the Pontific into strengthening of peace all over the world and appreciate his appeals to put an end to the bloodshed in the territory of our country.
To our great regret, the blasphemous policy of the Kremlin regime constructed on trade with human blood and true belief, prevented to hear the voice of this authoritative politician and religious figure, who not once called the world community for prevention of the next genocide of the Chechen people.
Kind deeds of the Roman Papa, which won the deserved respect to him during his lifetime, will remain in hearts of millions of people of different nationalities and religions.
The Most High will be merciful to His true slaves, who devoted themselves to service to the God on the earth! Amen!
Sheikh Abdul-Halim Sadulaev, The President of the Chechen Republic Ichkeria
Dzhohar
