Conference will bring together the Caucasian diaspora


International Conference on Caucasus diaspora, will meet in Istanbul. Here are the details of the conference:

Devoted to the cause of an independent Chechnya, and the United Caucasian brothers and sisters are invited to the International Conference on Caucasus.
Many countries around the world will come to Istanbul, academics, human rights defenders and representatives of the Caucasian diaspora in the conference to be watched live on some TV channels and over the internet.

On October 31, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with the head of Dagestan, Magomedsalam Magomedov, in Moscow. Discussed in the meeting was the grand Russian program to spend nearly $200 billion to modernize the North Caucasus over the period 2012-2025. "If adopting the North Caucasian program is delayed until 2015, we would still like to ask you to have a special program for our republic to overhaul the social sphere,” Magomedov told Putin in the meeting, The Russian prime minister did not reassure the Dagestani leader (http://premier.gov.ru, October 31).

Circassian Day at the European Parliament (EP), Brussels on 7th November 2011

FEDERATION of EUROPEAN CIRCASSIANS : The Federation of European Circassians has been presenting the Circassian culture and introducing the Circassians at the European Parliament on a regular basis for the last 6 years.

When we present ourselves on this platform, we need also to expose the problems we face. Therefore, we chose the topic "Circassian Organizations in the Diaspora, their Problems and their Expectations from the European Parliament” as the main theme at this year’s event. Mr.Ismail Ertug, MP at the European Parliament representing the German SPD party and Ms Ska Keller MP of the Greens will be participating and supporting us again.

Many Circassian and non-Circassian NGO’s will join the summit and shed light on the diaspora and its challenges today. We will have speakers from Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Israel, Turkey, USA and from the Republic of Adygea.
