President Dmitry Medvedev pointed the finger at Georgia on Friday as he spoke about security threats to the Russian 2014 Winter Olympics, in remarks likely to anger the nation with which it fought a brief war in 2008.
"Forces that would impede holding the Olympics must be identified and brought to justice, if we are talking about citizens of our country,” Medvedev told his Security Council at a meeting in the games venue Sochi, up the Black Sea coast from Georgia.
"You all understand that there are also certain problems connected to our neighbour, Georgia.”
Threats from inside and outside Russia "demand heightened attention from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, law enforcement bodies and security structures”, he said in televised comments at the meeting, after a run down a mountain ski slope.

Militating against 2014 Sochi Olympics Mikheil Saakashvili is ready to use all his tricks. For this purpose he is actively bringing up the "Circassian issue". As a Georgian opposition asserts, at the last meeting between Georgian president and US leader Barack Obama the latter told him directly to leave Circassians alone with their past and their future.
All mass media reporting on Barack Obama's warning for Saakashvili refer to Lasha Amirejibi from All-People's Council. The oppositionist himself does not reveal his sources. However, there is no smoke without fire and most probably official Tbilisi will have to slow down in the direction of North Caucasus.
