During recent months the political situation in Syrian Arab Republic has been deteriorating.Every day massive clashes of different groups with the authorities of the country, killing of hundreds of innocent people take place.

We, Circassians (Cherkess) of Syria, appeared to be in an extremely difficult position. Every day we are forced to risk our lives and the lives of our loved ones. A hope for that the situation in the country would stabilize and a chance for living in peace and security in Syria do not exist any more.

The Circassian nation and civilization had existed for more than 6000 years in the Circassian homeland located in the North Caucasus as per a map entitled: "Map of Circassia and the Russian Territories North of the Kuban, newly constructed from the latest Russian Authorities, based upon astronomical observations by Director, Topographical & Statistical Depot, British War Department, 1855. This map the way other maps depict, Abkhazia is drawn and identified as a different entity. They were called Circassians by others who had dealt with them, the way the word Chechnya was used for calling Ichkeria. As you know Georgian parliamentary
committees endorsed on May 19, 2011 resolution recognizing Circassian
Genocide-see http://www.circassian-genocide.info/.
Particularly hard hit was on Ubykhs-Circassian Indigenous Tribe from Sochi.
95% of Ubukhs were destroyed. And 5% were deported to Turkey.Ubukh are
prohibited from returning to Sochi on their motherland.
Reference- in 2014 in Sochi will be Winter Olympic Games without
Indigenous
Ubukh Circassian Tribe.
In 2010 during population census in Russia Tohtabiev S.A. — PhD , Chief
Ubykh Circassian Tribe, specializes in the Old Testament
