Circassians Support the People of Ukraine
Indigenous peoples and nations and their destinies were subjected and still through their phases of existence to risks which made it an obligation to defend their right of survival in the face of greedy and arrogant imperial empires and aggressors. Accordingly, "Justice For North Caucasus Group” would assert that the Circassians both at homeland in the North Caucasus and in Diaspora across the world, with their thoughts and feelings of the past and present support the Ukrainian people, and stating their associated concerns, they strongly condemn any foreign or exterior interference and/or intervention in the internal Ukrainian affairs whether directly or indirectly, and would recall, understand, sense and feel the effects of imposed injustice and oppression.
The Circassians fully support the people of Ukraine in its struggle to choose its own civilized path and destiny within a democratic framework without foreign involvement that would turn the clock back, in an evil attempt to take Ukraine back to the era of injustice, corruption and tyranny.
That should remind of hunger extermination (Holodomor), a man-made famine in 1932 and 1933, which was imposed by the leaders of the Soviet Union on the people of Ukraine, which resulted in demographic losses that amounted to 10 million, with 3.9 million famine deaths, and 6.1 million with birth defects.
In light of the impending start of holding the Winter Olympic Games in the last Circassian capital city of Sochi on the cemeteries and graves of those who defended their homeland against the machine of oppression and destruction represented by Tsarist Russian invaders in the 19th Century and the effects and consequences of the Circassian Genocide that was waged against the entire Circassian nation, the Circassians would understand the incentive of adhering to the principles of democracy, to defend freedom, human dignity and to stay away from returning to the painful past.
The Circassian nation calls upon all the nations of the world, particularly those who experienced being part of the buried Soviet Union to rise for the Support of the Ukrainian people and all other peoples who are under the iron fist rule imposed on them by the present Russian regime, and the decision of the Ukrainian nation from "Maidan” should be respected.
Long Live Ukraine, Long Live Circassia
