Tbilisi Symposium Conference Resolution

The conference "Sochi 2014 Olympic Games and Georgian_Circassian
Eco-cultural Environment” is a follow-up
of the Genocide recognition of the Georgian Parliament which will focus on the
following:
(1)-Identifying
the next steps needed to obtain international recognition of the Genocide and Deportation of the Circassians in the
19th century. And, addressing the Genocide as a continuing tragedy until
today affecting all Circassians profoundly inside and outside Circassia.
(2)-It is also designed to oppose and find peaceful and non-violent ways
to stop Russia from holding the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi as it is one of
the sites of the Circassian Genocide. The following objectives will be focused on:
A- Sochi and its
surrounding areas is a site of the Circassian Genocide.
B-The effect of the Sochi
Winter Olympics on 7 million Circassians worldwide.
C-The construction of the
Olympics facilities is an environmental, ecological and archaeological disaster.
D- The management of the
project and the level of corruption it has produced.
It is important to note and
emphasis that this frame work is not against the institution of the Olympics
games .it is against the plans of holding the Olympics in Sochi only. The frame
work will also examine the ethnic Caucasian groups’ sufferings as resulted from
ethnic cleansing in the close proximity of Sochi area (less than15 kilometre).
Advocates,
politicians, public figures and scholars need to develop strategies
for future work, and to provide professional expertise on how to strengthen and modernize the work of the Circassians and their supporters. It is intended to
provide the Circassian Nation with perspectives on international recognition of
the Genocide.

The United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The European
Commission;
The Council
of the EU;
The European Parliament.
The Council of Europe;
The European
Court of Human Rights;
The
International Organization of Migration (IOM).
The
international Olympics Commission.

- Find the way to work with legislative authorities of
particular countries.
C - Strengthening relationship with
non-governmental international organizations:
The Permanent Peoples'
Tribunal, international opinion tribunal, Bologna (Italy);
The International
Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS);
The International Network
of Genocide Scholars (INOGS);
The International Centre
for Transitional Justice (ICTJ);
The Rutgers University,
Genocide and Conflict Resolution Centre.
D - Develop
documentary database in order to prove justification of
Genocide
Internationally.
E - Promote the subjects
internationally.
F – Inviting any other recommended Organizations to participate.
