Circassia is different than Abkhazia but both are in the Caucasus Region, and there should be no match especially with the developments that had happened in most recent years which made it impossible to see Abkhazia the way some people wish to see! If Abkhazians want it this way then it’s their choice and decision even if it is not in favor of the Circassians’ very interests.
Circassians wouldn’t mind that Abkhazia gets a real independence instead of getting its all eggs in one basket, and it seems they don’t mind doing it on their own. Circassians who are working to restore their confiscated rights are free to choose the path that it makes them reach their national interests which are the goals that combine the majority of Circassians.
Illusion that Russia is helping anyone with the principles lofty dreams that some people would think, would sooner or later make people find out that Russia is in conformity with its own selfish interests. The Veto Russia has used few days ago against the principles of United Nations, universal declaration of human rights and against the interests of the Syrian people who are getting killed day and night, makes it easy to understand what the Russians want out of any conflict. How come when it gets to the memory of the May "21 / May 1864”, and Russia’s failure to mention any positive action in respect to solving any element of the Circassian Question, which has implications for any researcher to reach fair conclusions. They even went further more steps in trying to say that the Greeks were in Circassia at one time, but without mentioning the deported Circassians and their homeland, with the intention to hold the 2014 Winter Olympic Games on the land of Genocide in the last Capital City of Circassia, Sochi.
Common sense makes it imperative, that Circassians who lost half of the nation and 90% who remained alive were deported under difficult and tragic circumstances away from homeland.
Anyone is free to defend any other nation’s interest, but not on the expense of the Circassian interests, because they cannot be mixed together. Let’s not undervalue the valuable books and study papers presented by respected Academicians such as "Let Our Fame Be Great” for "Oliver Bollough”, and "the Northwest Caucasus” for "Walter Richmond”, which has been translated to Arabic language by” Jameel Ishaqat”; but it’s worth to mention as well that there are Russian authors who write about Circassians and the Caucasus the way it suits them and according to the way they see things, which no body stops them. If Circassians did not come up with books and information about their past and present, then there are people who are interested to do that with no bias, because humanity is stronger than any prejudice or intolerance. I wish that we get to the degree that Circassians do great job in presenting information about Circassians the way Amjad Jaimoukha is doing. There are also studies and important information that came about the Circassian Question by a respected Portuguese brother, and in Portuguese language.
No one got common sense would say that we don’t need any more books about Circassians, because knowledge got no limits and no boundaries.
If Circassian authors write books about other nations like the Circassians living in Turkey or the Arabic countries, we will find few people to tell them that they are Circassians and they are not suppose to write about them; but the majority would appreciate and value that.
Something nice to know that the "21, May, 1864 Group” is presenting lectures and seminars in a campaign to make the information reach Circassians who are interested to know the different dimensions of the Circassian Question and there is a remarkable and wise statement they have on the periodical announcements which says: "Sisters and Brothers, so as not to disagree while we don’t know and to make our debate to be based on knowledge, come forward to participate and attend the series of seminars”.
Exchange of opinion should not reach the point of creating personal conflicts or to distract Circassians from their fundamental cause.
