Adygheisk participated in festival “Eposes of the World on Djangar’s Descendants land”  13.10.2009

In the end of September in Kalmykia the lll International festival of the storytellers “Eposes of the World on Djangar’s Descendants land” was organized. Four days were spent by the visitors and the participants of the festival in the city of Elista. The Adygeya Republic was represented there by the town dwellers of Adygheisk Arthur Abid and Baizet Tkhagapso. Arthur Abid is a participant of ensemble “Zhy’u”, Baizet Tkhagapso is the winner of the republican festival “Adygeya’s Asterisks” and the both guys perform in the ensemble of Adygeyan dance of Adygheisk “Samgur”.

A.Abid had already participated in the ll festival in 2007 in the structure of ensemble “Zhy’u”. For the lll festival the ensemble had prepared a special program. That is, certainly, legends from the Nart epos, national songs, and melodies. Sounds of the schichepshin and the melodious tunes did not leave the participants and the visitors of the festival indifferent. And to Kalmykia storytellers and scientists-specialists in folklore from republics of Bashkortostan, Northern Ossetia, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Kazakhstan, Buryatiya, Altai, Tyva arrived.

All the four days in Elista national songs and legends in various languages could be heard. According to A.Abid and B.Tkhagapso, representatives of Adygeya were met, like the guests of honour and were received with invitations to similar festivals in some other regions. And the most important, together with creativity, they demonstrated the culture and traditions of Adygs. Both during the festival, and in its not official part they wore Circassian hats. And at closing of the action they deserved the highest praise of their behaviour, having shown the respect and esteem for the seniors. As they speak themselves, they just obeyed the canons of Adyghe Khabza.

Diplomas of the festival participants, thankful words, costly presents and the best impression Arthur Abid and Baizet Tkhagapso took with them. “Adygeyan songs were especially liked by representatives of Bashkortostan and Tyva Republic”, - they said. Now the guys sing national songs of various peoples and do not doubt that in the far republics the participants of the festival do the same thing - sing Adygeyan melodies.
