The contents of oxide of carbon monoxide in Nizhny Novgorod exceeded permissible levels 3.6-fold. Abnormal heatwave and burning of forests and peatlands led to severe deterioration of air in the towns of Nizhny Novgorod region and accumulation of harmful impurities in lower atmosphere.
On August 15, a strong smoke, caused by aerosol transport from areas of forest and peat fires and by weather conditions unfavorable for the dispersion of harmful substances (downstream, inversion temperature, absence of rain). was registered in the cities of Nizhny Novgorod region and especially in Nizhny Novgorod itself.
The ability of the atmosphere to cleanse itself failed. Sampling of air in in the town of Vyksa showed air pollution with carbon monoxide. In the air of the town of Sarov, where a Russian factory for producing nuclear arms is located, the presence of nitrogen dioxide, phenol, carbon monoxide, suspended solids was registered. The total background concentration of all impurities drastically increased in the town of Arzamas.
Since the beginning of a huge fire in the city of Cheboksary (Chuvashia), fires already destroyed more than 2800 hectares of land. The area of active burning, according to the latest data, makes 280 hectares. The fire is downstream, sometimes turning into upstream, the terrain is swampy, so that firefighting, thanks God, is impossible. The area of the fire is growing rapidly. Four settlements, numerous holiday camps and resorts, located on the left bank of the river Volga, have already burnt down.
Sovereign Club town district in the Volga town of Togliatti burned down on Aug. 15, and another 11 blocks of the town perished in fires in Togliatti in the morning of August 16.
The Volga towns of Saratov and Engels are now cloaked in a strong smoke. The maximum permissible concentrations of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, nitrogen dioxide in the air were dramatically exceeded.
Increased concentration of carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and suspended solids are recorded in Ryazan region's Ryazan and Klepikvosky districts.
Tula is continued to be under a very heavy smoke.
Information about fires continues to be almost 100% blocked in Russia starting Sinday night. The absence in Russian media of such information was not observed during the whole arsonist' season of 2010.
It is to be recalled that firefighting in the terrorist country of Russia is a serious crime against God and humanity, along with so-called "aid for the victims" from private sources and foreign countries. Financing terrorism is forbidden by international law. The aid must be provided by the KGB junta, making Russia bankrupt, from huge amounts of money stolen by Russians from Siberians for the sale of the Siberian gas and oil by Russian occupiers of Siberia.
