Russians started to die in great numbers in Moscow because of the heat and dense smoke, Russian news agencies report. The information has not been officially confirmed, but stubborn figures speak for themselves: the number of Russian dead bodies delivered to Moscow morgues increased up to 7-fold.
- Due to an increase in death rate, the total numbers of dead bodies delivered to us increased dramatically - a Russian agency Life News reported cited a morgue worker in Moscow Metropolitan Hospital # 57. - Usually they bring 5 to 6 dead bodies per day, but today they brought 12 of them.
The these figures refer to the morning delivery only. A double number of Russian dead bodies has been reported in morgues of Hospital # 53, Filatov Hospital and Hospital # 56. Many hospital, overcrowded with corpses, are in panic, not knowing how to solve the problem with dead Russians.
- We have a sharply increased number of incoming dead citizens - said a worker in the morgue at Hospital # 56. - Today they delivered to us so many corpses as they usually bring during a whole week.
- We have simply a terrible situation here! Refrigerators are full - said a worker at Hospital # 59. - Today, we have 17 new corpses, yesterday we also received 17 new corpses, although we usually have only 2 to 3 corpses a day. Refrigerators are overcrowded. The increase is 5- to 6-fold. The corpses are lucky being in refrigerators, but we, the workers, have no air-conditioner, even a crummy fan we don't have.
In most overcrowded morgues, the information on a sharply increased death rate among Russians has been already made strictly secret by the KGB.
- We are forbidden to talk about it - a worker at Hospital # 71 said.
The total number of ambulance calls has also increased dramatically.
- And have to explain to the callers primitive ways to deal with the situation. One caller closed windows, doors, the air was not circulating at all. His health deteriorated, but all he had to do was only to take more fluids and possibly turn on a fan.
Mostly older Russians are now dying from smog and heat. Asthmatic Russians with pneumonia are most likely to die first. Catching pneumonia is easy when silly Russians try to get rid of heat using wet sheets. And smog further complicates their diseases. The result is pulmonary edema, cardiovascular insufficiency...
- A strong smoke became a reason for lethal outcomes - a worker at the Moscow ambulance station said. - We have 3 deaths from pneumonia alone at our substations per night.
