Russia's special police forces are being investigated for an initiation rite that turned deadly.
Viktor Kritsenkov, 30, died on April 27th in Moscow after seven officers from the OMON forces allegedly bashed him prior to his induction into the force.
The Moscow prosecutor's office said it would continue to investigate the death of Kritsenkov as part of a fatal hazing stunt that went wrong.
The investigation follows another incident where a Moscow policeman allegedly went on a shooting spree in a supermarket, killing three and wounding six.
He was said to be angry after a family argument at his birthday party.
Moscow OMON were set up in 1987 to combat terrorism.
They have become a military styled riot- police, who have been accused of severe human rights abuses in Chechnya.
