SIA CHECHENPRESS, 1 October 2007
According to the Russian media, Garry Kasparov, the United Civic Front leader, has lodged a complaint to the office of Prosecutor General, asking to investigate the threats of so-called ‘officials’ of Chechen Republic against him.
According to Marina Litvinovich, Kasparov’s advisor, the complaint asks ‘to give legal assessment, to take prosecutor’s reaction measures, and make security provisions’. Chechnya’s ‘Speaker of Parliament’ Dukvakha Abdurakhmanov had said earlier that Kasparov ‘must be put in jail’ for insulting Ramzan Kadyrov. Otherwise, Kadyrov’s poodle threatened, ‘other measures’ will be taken according to ‘the law of Caucasus’.
