"Russians living abroad and willing to return to their homeland will first of all be sent to regions with a workforce deficit, the Russian president Putin said Wednesday", according to numerous Russian news reports.

Russian president, speaking at his annual televised question-and-answer session, said: "Primarily it will be border regions - the Primorye Territory and the Khabarovsk Territory, and some central regions, which lack a workforce."

Well, these are exactly the zones where the infamous Russian GULAG was located. And be sure, it is still there now, under the rule of the Putin, waiting for "compatriots".. Is Putin a fool or does he taken foreign citizens of Russian origin for fools? No Russia's Russian ever wanted to live and work in those areas. Are foreign Russians something different?

Speaking at the "Second World Congress of Russians Abroad" Tuesday, Putin said his "government "will allocate 4.6 billion rubles (1.13 million) in 2007 on a voluntary repatriation program for Russians living abroad.

"They [compatriots] will be assisted with their travel arrangements and primary accommodation, including the registration of their legal and social status, as well as with jobs, municipal and pension services, preschool, school and professional education," Putin said.

Well, in Germany, for instance, "the Russians living abroad" spend their summer vacations, like other Germans, in Spain or Italy, and they surely do not need Putin's money to travel, voluntarily, to GULAG. They also don't need Putin's accommodation in barracks. Most have apartments or houses in Germany. They have jobs, municipal and pension services, preschool, school and professional education at a much higher level than in Putin's Russia.

Well, the same refers in some degree to other Russians living in other countries. They don't need Putin's Russia, especially under the rule of Putin. And if Putin suddenly needs them, they have even more reasons not to travel to Russia, even as tourists. This KGB-FSB dog is to be mistrusted in every aspect.

Well, Russia really seems now to be the famous Ship of Fools, with Putin as a captain.
