The Way to FREEDOM
Ideas rattle for the whole world more loudly, than guns. Ideas are more powerful, than armies. Principles have gained more victories, than horse cavalry and chariots (U. Paxton) .
The American television company “ABC” in the program “Nightline” showed the interview to the Chechen commander Shamil Basaev, given by him to the Russian journalist Andrei Babitsky. Then a diplomatic scandal burst for the whole world. The so-called Russian politicians arranged a real hysteria, which was caused not even with what Shamil Basaev stated in the interview, (all the same they would not understand, what Shamil was talking about), but with the very fact of his dialogue with the western audience.
Most of all inhabitants of the Kremlin were frightened with that Shamil came out on the American TV. And it is clear, why: those, who take freedom away from others, are slaves, and they also need the owner. According to the understanding of the Kremlin toadies, their owner is "Uncle Joe". And whatever they do, all the time they look back at their transatlantic bosses with fear and rage. And, when Americans once again have shown the Kremlin toadies their place at the toilet, their nerves, naturally, could not sustain it and they arranged hysterics - anything you like, just do not drive us out from the yard.
And the paradox of the events consists in that free Americans cannot understand psychology of the Russian slaves, for whom, first of all, this interview has been shown. Well, well, you consider Basaev to be your sworn enemy and you are at war with him for about eleven years. So, are not you interested in what your “enemy number one” speaks, the enemy, against whom the whole power of the huge nuclear state is directed? And Shamil was speaking in a quiet voice, good Russian, the state language of the enemy empire, and, as against Putin and his surrounding; he did not use criminal language in stating of his ideas.
Shamil was speaking the truth. The truth about that in the Chechen Republic there is a fierce war, and Chechens win freedom and their right for life. Shamil called for peace and observance of international norms at being at war. Shamil demanded from Putin and his special services to stop taking hostages and killing peace citizens, women, children and old men. Shamil was speaking about VALIDITY! And it does not matter, who made comments on Basaev after that and what wrote about him, but from the screen of the TV not a terrorist or a gangster, but a soldier, confident in his rightness, and revolted to protect his people and the Native land, was looking at us. The commander, carrying out unequal fight with hated by him hordes of enemies was looking at us, who had shouldered the military everyday lives, consisting of problems, where to get arms and equipment, how and where to treat the wounded.
Shamil was speaking in an equal voice. He did not arrange hysterics and did not smile meanly, as in due time president Putin did, making comments on the crash of the Russian submarine on the American TV. There are no doubts, whose side simple Americans will support and to whom after that they will give their preferences and sympathies - to the mockingly grinning and impudently lying protege of oligarchs Putin, or to the thoughtful and truthful defender and the hero of people, soldier Basaev.
Shamil has won Putin not only on the battlefield, - he has crushed Putin also on the political field. After the speech of Shamil, even with all amendments and additives, Putin has nothing to do on the American TV now, and it would be better for him not to appear on it. Shamil told the TRUTH, and the truth is such a category, against which nothing can be done. The truth lives even after the death of the one, who told it. The TRUTH and the VALIDITY multiplied by BELIEF, probably, this is the only true way to FREEDOM, which unites today millions people in different regions of the world, who were sitting that night at the screens of their TVs and, having concealed breath, listening to what they were spoken by the Chechen commander SHAMIL BASAYEV.
