62 % of Russians consider the future disintegration of their country to be real

The majority of Russians - 62 % - believe, that there are acute problems and contradictions in their society, which can lead to the future disintegration of their country and only 27 % believe, that there are not such problems.

The all-Russia interrogation of the Fund "Public opinion”, carried out on the 16 th of April, among 1500 respondents, testifies it, Newsru informs.

During the interrogation it was found out, that respondents considered the social inequality, regional distinctions in the standard of living of the population and a low standard of life as a whole, unemployment, interethnic discord to be the main things among explosive problems. Imperious ambitions of regional heads ("any princeling wants to become a tsar), corruption of officials and politicians, weakness of the federal authority, the war in the Chechen Republic , terrorism, and criminality are a little bit less often mentioned.

Sociologists notice, that except for internal social, economic and political problems, which can become the precondition for disintegration of the country, 58 % of Russians name also certain forces, which purposefully achieve it. Thus only 13 % deny any presence of those.

First of all participants of the interrogation specify "abroad": "harmful neighbors", old and new contenders on the geopolitical space - the USA , Japan , China , Israel , Ukraine , Georgia , "Islamic countries".

There are also internal enemies: "the fifth column". Oligarchs, "new Russians", representatives of power structures of a various level (deputies of the State Duma, members of the government, the federal authority as a whole), parties and their leaders, regional heads - "small presidents", nationalists and neo-fascists, terrorists, criminal groupings ("mafia") are mentioned among them more often.

As far as the real danger of disintegration of our country - instead of preconditions of such succession of events - is concerned, the majority are convinced, that there is such a danger, 30 % believe that the threat is great, and 32 % consider it to be insignificant. Thus, in opinion of each third respondent (32 %), the threat of disintegration of Russia has amplified for the last years, and only 14 % believe, that it has weakened. 36 % believe, that nothing has changed in this respect. And only according to the opinion of each fifth Russian (20 %), this problem does not exist today.

As the interrogation shows, third of respondents consider, that the Russian authorities underestimate this threat (35 %), a quarter of them think, that its scales are estimated correctly (25 %), and only (8 %) consider believe, that it is exaggerated, "Interfax" informs.
