“Adyghe Khasa” of Adygeya Republic: “Together we are strong”

This appeal had been prepared by “Adyghe Khasa” of Adygeya for the meeting of November, 17th in Nalchik and read at the meeting.

TO THE MEETING OF ADYGEYAN PEOPLE OF KABARDINO-BALKARIAN REPUBLIC

1. Adygs, living in Adygeya Republic, are anxious with the events occuring in Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in relation to the agrarian questions.

2. We consider any actions infringing the interests of Adygs, as unacceptable.

3. The mistakes made by the KBR authority, are a subject to correction.

4. We hope and call everybody to that the questions arising among peoples about such delicate issue as lands should be solved in the legal ways.

Measures against African pig plague in Adygeya

The epidemic of the African plague of pigs in the SFD reached a critical level because in Rostov area, where the centers of disease had been formed, people concealed the cases at the initial stage from the veterinary services. That referring to the chief of Adygeya veterinary service Vladimir Burlakov was informed by Radio of Adygeya.

As he said, in order to not allow penetration of the infection into Adygeya, the republican authorities, the experts of the veterinary services and the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs implement joint preventive measures. All the pig-breeding farms were forced to function in the closed type of work. In the strengthened mode the motor licensing and inspection department posts operate, as they supervise movement of foodstuffs by the roads of the republic.

“Now, - he added, - import of alive herd and cattle-breeding production of not industrial pig-breeding is temporarily suspended”.

Maykop counteracts ethnic and religious extremism in Caucasus

On November, 11-14th in Maykop the scientifically-practical conference “Counteraction to Ethnic and Religious Extremism in Caucasus” takes place. Its organizers are the Ministry of Education of Adygeya and the Adygeya state university (ASU). As it was stated in the invitations, the action is spent according to the republican target program “Ethno-cultural Development and Preventive Maintenance of Extremism in 2008-2010”.

Opening of the conference takes place on November, 12th at 10.00 o'clock in the morning in the ASU conference hall. Within the limits of the conference carrying out of the plenary session and work of four sections are planned:

- Theoretical and methodological bases of counteraction to religious and ethnic extremism in the modern conditions;

- Religious extremism: preconditions and forms in Northern Caucasus;

- Identification processes and development of tolerant consciousness in Northern Caucasus;

- Counteraction to youth extremism.

Youth parliament of second convocation started working in Adygeya

On November, 6th the first session of the youth parliament of the second convocation took place in Maykop. At the session new chairman was elected – Ruslan Natah, (on official data he was elected unanimously); the new structure of the executive committee was formed, and seven profile committees were planned.

According to the member of the youth parliament, the first secretary of the republican committee of the Union of Communistic youth of Adygeya Aidamir Tkhagushev, he did not participate in the voting. And the main thing why he had ignored it was that the candidature on the post of chairman had been uncontested. “And the agenda was given not two-three days earlier and right before the session, - he told. - That is, everything has been already decided beforehand, the parliament just had to agree”.
