NatPress: Day Of Repatriate In Maykop

posted by eagle on August, 2009 as ADYGEA

Day of Repatriate in Maykop
3.8.2009

The Day of Repatriate gathered on August, 1st on the square by the National museum about 3 thousand people. There were more people, simply there were staid only those who were located on the square so that they could see the performance. There were many people who watched the performances of the actors on the big monitor based on the front wall of the museum.

Perhaps, during the ceremony there was unusual only one thing - putting flowers to "monument to victims of the Caucasian war”. The monument so named just that way, and in the delegation assigned the bouquet there had been included not only public men, but also some officials. As that was a state holiday.

From among the authorities of the republic at the holiday there were the prime minister of Adygeya Murat Kumpilov and the vice-speaker of the State Soviet-Khasa Vyacheslav Sapiev. They reminded that in relation to repatriation of compatriots Adygeya Republic appeared to be the pioneer, and told what was done for repatriates for today, having promised that they would do more.

The first Adygeya president Aslan Dzharimov addressed to the gathered, too. He recollected how Kosovar-Adygs came back, what their historical native land met them with, said that to carry out it without help of the federal government would be impossible. “With this Russia strengthened its authority among the countries of the world, - he underlined. - Such situations are exclusive, when representatives of an expelled people come back home according to decisions of the governments of the countries from which they had been expelled”.

The chairman of Adyghe Khasa of Adygeya Arambiy Hapay mentioned in his speech, as on this holiday of occasions for optimism there were not too many. “In Adygeya, - he said, - there are many representatives of various peoples who have their native land - the states or the state formations. But they live here, and they feel better here, than they would be on their native land. At the same time there are many Adygs remained which would live better on the native land”.

As he said, when it is the question about repatriation of Adygs, it should be achieved not only within the limits of one or three republics, but also those places, whence they had been expelled. He wished the gathered the fastest returning of the compatriots, their fastest association in one republic.

The chairman of the public organization “House of Repatriates Adaptation” (HRA) Yahia Stash told, in particular, that this year there had been started the procedure of reception of Russian citizenship by more than 40 foreign Adygs. In the near future there should be also about 50 people arrived from Turkey. From Syria about 20 persons are expected, too.

“Earlier, - he said, - all of them had had no problems of registration: they were registered to the address of where Kosovan Adygs had temporarily been placed. Now that building (with its address) is used for other needs and there is no place to register repatriates. Each of those repatriates was registered by the repatriates come back earlier, as much as they could; so new areas are needed now”. He asked representatives of the authority present at the action, to solve that question.

On the holiday there were the leaders of the national communities - Tatar, Armenian, Kurdish, and so on. The national songs - Russian, Tatar, others, but basically, certainly, Adygs were sounded. The holiday lasted till midnight.
