From: MSN NicknameEagle_wng (Original Message) Sent: 11/18/2005 2:22 AM President of Abkhazia: Georgia’s requirement of peacemakers’ removal - straight way to military collision 17.11.2005 On November, 17th in Sukhum the meeting of the president of Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh with representatives of the management of the United Nations Supreme commissioner on affairs of refugees (UNSCAR) Udo Jans and Naviid Hussein took place. "The requirement of the Georgia parliament about removal of the Russian peacemakers is a straight way to military collision", - declared president Sergey Bagapsh at the meeting.
Sergey Bagapsh emphasized that in case of the Russian peacemakers’ removal divisions of Abkhazian military forces would occupy their place.
"Abkhazia supports the peace resolution of the existing problems", - told the president. Thus he noted readiness of the armed forces of Abkhazia to face aggression from Georgia. "Such danger exists", - told Bagapsh as "Georgia annually increases the military budget and for anybody it is not a secret, what purposes the Georgian leadership pursues". Bagapsh expressed his regret relating to "all these processes are left without any attention of the international organizations".
In Sergey Bagapsh's opinion, signing of the peace agreement between Abkhazia and Georgia would allow solving all the existing problems in the quiet conditions.
In their turn the UN representatives expressed concern in connection "with the aggravation of the situation outlined recently in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone".
"We are afraid for safety of our employees, as our donors concern about safety of their investments allocated for realization of various projects", - told Udo Jans at the meeting in Abkhazia.
