HACKERS AND TERRORISTS OF THE NET

posted by EAGLE on April 22, 2005 3:30 AM as IMPERIALISM

The following is an article-letter that was sent to Chechnya Short-list yahoo group
about the net terrorist hackers that managed to deactivate "Justice For North Caucasus"
group momentarily, but managed to regain operation and momentum.

HACKERS AND TERRORISTS OF THE NET

I am honored to post again in Chechnya Short-list after a journey across the net.
Due to my interest in North Caucasian affairs, I used to be a member in this great list {group), after I was introduced to the site by a good friend of mine, and I found out that the site was specialized in Chechen conflict and had presented and still the facts and figures about the events and consequences of the savage war that is still going on in the North Caucasian Republic Of Chechnya.

I used to be a member under the name of "eagle-wng" and  enjoyed reading the posts of the other fellow members that reflected what is going on in the war zone of Chechnya which represented only the news that were available for the media to broadcast and publish. I used to post the news and events that I could find within my reach as well.

The specialty of "Chechnya Short-list" mainly in the Chechen affairs, gave me the incentive to pay more attention for some thing broader to look for, which was my original interests in the North Caucasian matters and affairs, that deals with problems and consequences of a state of instability of the region that consists in addition to the Republic of Chechnya, the North Caucasian Republics of Abkhazia, Adygea, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabarda-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkes, North Osetia, and South Osetia which they formed a Union that was called the Federation of North Caucasus Republics in the early years of the 20th Century, but was desolated by the famous dictator at the time, Stalin.

I decided to establish a group to fulfill a broader coverage of an important, but forgotten subject that deals with the troubled region of nations of the North Caucasus, that is under the control and/or the rule of Federal Republic of Russia, beside elaborating on the Human Rights issues in regard to the scattered population that is considered a disaster by itself if we know that millions are either living at motherland, or living in diaspora whether within Federal Republic of Russia or in broader diaspora in more than 5o countries of the world. It was not intended for the founded group to compete or to be be a mirror to any form of the existing sites.

The group started in January, 24, 2005 and lasted until March, 30, 2005. In this short period the group's members reached more that 50; there were so many contributions that made the news posts to reach more than 1000, and hundreds of photos, links & references. All news and links were pertaining to the whole region; but within the available information sources.

In April, 30, 2005, the net terrorist hackers wanted to say their part of the story, which was the stopping of any side that spreads truth and information about facts, events, and occurrences in the North Caucasus Region.

The professional hackers were efficient in the sort of business they do, and in a short time.
I had of course the same pass-word for both yahoo e-mail and yahoo group, and the event happened in March, 30 when I disconnected from internet for approximately 20 minutes, but when I returned to reconnect through the yahoo pass word, I got a message indicating that pass word was wrong, and after few more trials, I was faced with the same answer, which gave the click that there was something fishy going on. I had the access to get to the group site through another pass-word, but it was like any member connection, because through that pass-word and account I had no authority or power to prevent any negative occurrence.

An hour later, the whole site went inoperative, provided that during that time I was trying to check and/or change the pass-word with no help at all.
The site turned out to be as indicated hereunder:
"Justice For North Caucasus Yahoo Group"

When the site went off the net completely, I started looking for the e-mails that connect with yahoo customer service and other important addresses in that aspect.

I reached no where, and the yahoo staff were not cooperative at all, and they even gave both "brave and straight face" answers, which made me reach a one-way communication and/or a deaf conversation situation. It made me feel that, yes there are hackers doing their job freely, being well protected and during  daylight, without being bothered by authorities or security surveillance agencies that should protect rights of freedom of speech and expression.

I got no logical explanation from the yahoo customer support branch, except ready published text of rules and regulations which do not pertain to the sequence of events of the particular occurrence.
Suspects are there, and when a crime occurs, the golden rule says that the criminal is the one who benefits from the crime!

I urge Yahoo and other net providers to be more protective and concerned about their customers and their rights of self-expression. Besides, they ought to pinpoint those terrorist hackers and their supporters, who are doing their best to inflict as much damage as they could to stop people to be able to read and receive the information. I hope that the net mafias and Mafiosi will not be able to benefit out of this kind of crimes and they should not dictate the rules and regulations of the civilized world of technology and transfer of information.

At the same day, the 30th of March, 2005, I re-established "Justice For North Caucasus" but this time on "MSN Groups", with more than 20 members now since March, 30th, 2005. The site is operating normally and there are so many links, photos, and posts for people to go through whenever they have the chance to visit the site:

I decided to come back with a meaningful name, "surviving eagle" and to make you share this experience with one of your colleagues who went through the bitter experience of struggling to make the word reach whoever wants to read, see, hear, talk, and know the facts and figures about events and occurrences. Also I will post a copy of this article to "Justice For North Caucasus" Group.
