A convoy of Russian "interior ministry's special department troops" consisting of 4 vehicles was blown up in a landmine explosion by Chechen Mujahideen on a highway between Shali and Avtury Saturday morning, September 16. The invaders reported a Russian paramilitary police chief wounded by numerous mine splinters and delivered to a hospital.
Chechnya is under the Russian information blockade. Whatevar casualties the infidels suffer, they never give true tallies and seldom report about their killed soldiers.
No information about the real nature and extent of Russian casualties in this attack was available from Mujahideen sources till the filing of this report.

7 Russian invaders were killed and many others injured in a fierce firefight on Thursday (September 14) in a forest, several kilometers from village Elistanji in Vedeno district. At least one Mujahid martyred (Shaheed, insha Allah) and four others were wounded, with different degrees of seriousness. No other details of the battle were reported by the KC source in the Eastern Front Headquarters of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria's Armed Forces.

18/09/2006 09:31 GROZNY, September 18 (RIA Novosti) - An Interior Ministry contract soldier was hospitalized with a leg wound after a checkpoint in eastern Chechnya was attacked by unidentified assailants, local police said Monday.
A police source said the incident occurred at 21.20 Moscow time (5.20 GMT) on Sunday, in the Kurchaloyevsky district of Chechnya.
"Unidentified assailants driving a Zhiguli car opened fire on a mobile checkpoint manned by Interior Ministry troops near a village of Dzugurty," the source said.
He said a soldier was hospitalized with a leg wound, but that his condition was satisfactory.
Police are conducting a search for the assailants, the source said.

5 Russian invaders were killed and their humvee was burnt in a landmaine attack on a military convoy near village Shali Saturday morning (September 16). The convoy of Russian "special forces" troops was traveling to villages Avtury and Serzhen Yurt to carry out a terrorist "punishment" operation against civilians. The Russians were stopped in this counter-terrorist operation by Chechen Mujahideen, a spokesman of the Eastern Front Headquarters of the CRI Armed Forces told the Kavkaz Center news agency.
This time, the Russian media also reported on the landmine attack but due to censorship said only that a Russian soldier had been injured in an arm.
GROZNY, September 21 (Itar-Tass) - The police in the UAZ vehicle that came under fire in Grozny were officers from the Sverdlovsk region, sources close to the investigation, told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
"When the UAZ was driving along the Staropromyslovskoye highway, bursts of automatic fire suddenly sounded as it was passing a bus stop. As a result of the attack, five people were killed. Four died on the spot and one on the way to hospital," Chechen police told Tass.
The Chechen Interior Ministry confirmed that the attack took place near the village of Katayama at approximately 12:00, Moscow time. The fatalities are Sverdlovsk police officers, attached to the Chechen police unit in Grozny's Staropromyslovsky district.
