The bodies of a Chechen police officer and a young woman were found in the boot of the police officer's Zhiguli car near the Katayama community in Grozny's Staropromyslovskii district yesterday, a source with Chechen law enforcement agencies told Caucasian Knot.
A UAZ vehicle with officers of the convoy service battalion of the Naurskaia District Division of Internal Affairs and a prisoner was blown up in Grozny's Leninskii district at about 12.30 pm MSK yesterday, a source with Chechnya's Internal Affairs Ministry told Caucasian Knot.
The bomb planted by the roadside killed a deputy chief of the Naurskaia DDIA temporary detention isolator and the driver. Another police officer, senior lieutenant, received shrapnel wounds. GROZNY. Set 18 (Interfax) - A platoon commander was wounded and later died on the way to a hospital after an armored personnel carrier hit a mine in Chechnya's Shali district, local police sources told Interfax by phone.
The mine was planted at the side of the road linking Grozny and Vedeno on the limits of the Mesker-Yurt village, and detonated when an engineer platoon was combing the terrain.

GROZNY. Sept 17 (Interfax) - Two policemen from the Russian internal republic of Chuvashia, including the deputy commander of a combined police unit from that region, were killed in the Leninsky district of Chechnya's capital of Grozny.
"A group of armed men fired automatic weapons at an UAZ jeep on Sadovaya Street. The car's driver and deputy commander of the Chuvash police unit Maj. Valery Sidorov died of wounds on the spot. Four other policemen who were in the car have been hospitalized with wounds of varying degrees," local police told Interfax on Saturday.
Similar attacks against both federal forces and local law enforcement officers have happened before at the same place in Grozny, the Interfax source said.
Chechen militants have killed six pro-Moscow police and wounded another nine, local media reported on Saturday in a major blow to Russian forces in the turbulent region.
Meanwhile, rebel news sources reported the death of a top separatist in a clash with security forces — the second prominent commander to be killed this year. Pro-Russian forces said he had died in a power struggle among the guerrillas.
Local news agencies said four policemen died in a firefight in the Vedeno region on Friday, in the heart of Muslim Chechnya’s mountainous south. Five police were also injured, RIA Novosti news agency reported.

Acts of sabotage by Chechen Mujahideen
Occupational sources are forced to admit the fact of considerable activization of the Chechen units. Even in condition of total information blockade the news on operations in Chechen territory and sabotage acts leak out to Russian mass-media.
So, according to the Russian mass-media in notorious village Borozdinovskaya of Shelkovsk distkrct of CRI, Mujahideen have shot police gang from of puppet formations. Invaders have admitted that one gangatsre have received heavy wound, however exact data about this operation is unknown.
At the same time, in village Nesterovskay of Sunzha district of Ingushetia, the sabotage group of Mujahideen has eliminated the FSB officer. Invaders did not report the details of this action. Interfax only reported about the fact of elimination of the occupational officer.
