According to Prague Watchdog publication with reference to sources in occupied Chechnya, enmity grows among the various gangs of Chechen munafiqs (hypocrites) and murtads (apostates).

In recent weeks more than 20 members of Vostok gang battalion led by Sulim Yamadayev have quit the battalion and deserted to the side of Ramzan Kadyrov in a gang of so-called "oil regiment", which is deployed in the viilage of Dzhalka, Gudermes district. This gang, known for frequent abductions and sadistically tortured hostages, is headed by the younger brother of Kadyrov's right-hand man, the so-called vice-premier Adam Delimkhanov.

Chechen battalions slipping out of control

By Ruslan Isayev

CHECHNYA – No sooner had Moscow-backed Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov managed to put his own man at the head of the Second operative-investigative bureau (ORB-2), thereby bringing the last armed unit not yet subordinate to him under his authority, than there were reports that another unit more loyal to him was now in his disfavour.

This was the Vostok battalion, controlled by the Russian Defence Ministry and staffed by Chechens under the command of former Ichkerian army brigadier-general Sulim Yamadayev. In recent weeks more than 20 men have quit the battalion – they all turned in their weapons and left. They did not just walk away, however, but are presently in the village of Dzhalka at the “oil regiment” base headed by the younger ...

‘Rustem Basayev killed’

Caharkala/Agency Caucasus – Chechen commander Rustem Basayev was killed in a fighting in Caharkala, capital of Chechya, said Ruslan Alkhanov, pro-Russian Chechen Interior Minister. Independent Chechen sources have not yet confirmed the news as being true.

Asked to identify himself, Basayev rushed into hiding in a nearby house, according to an official statement from the pro-Russian administration. Basayev’s hiding led to the outbreak of an exchange of gunfire between him and the pro-Russian Chechen police. Along with Basayev, two police officers were also killed in the gunfire. Announcement of this event came in a news report from Alkhanov, which both made it look like a victory against the Chechen resistance and further reported that pro-Russian President Ramzan Kadyrov was in remote charge of the operation. Basayev, formerly a professional wrestler and later a lieutenant general among the resisters, was both ...
