Russian invaders attacked near Gezinchu, Zhanni-Vedeno

According to the source of AlKavkaz news website, on June 28 during a combat operation near the village of Gezinchu, southern Chechnya, a unit of Mujahideen under the command of Amir Osama blew up an APC of the invaders. As a result 3 Russian kafirs were eliminated and 3 others were badly wounded.

At the same time, a mobile squad of Mujahideen led by Amir Khalid ambushed Russian paratroopers in the forest near the village of Zhanni-Vedeno. The paratroopers have been landed from a helicopter. According to the website, in a heavy gun battle 4 paratroopers were eliminated, from the Mujahideen side 2 fighters were wounded.

Three Russian invaders got wounded in Shali district of Chechnya when they ran over a landmine, according to Russian side.

According to occupation sources, a fierce firefight between a unit of Chechen Mujahideen and Russian invaders took place in Vedeno district on the eve. Russian invaders claim that during five-hour-long firefight 1 Mujahideen was killed and 1 Russian kafir was wounded.

Invaders have declared that after the fight Mujahideen withdrew deep into a forest and that now they are being searched. Ambushes are arranged with this purpose.

There is no reaction to these statements from the Chechen side.

Three servicemen wounded in gunfire attack in Chechnya

GROZNY. July 1 (Interfax) - Three servicemen suffered wounds in what appeared to be a drive-by attack during a field-engineering mission on the outskirts of the village of Agishty in Chechnya's Shali district, the Chechen Interior Ministry told Interfax on Sunday.

The wounded sappers were taken to a hospital. A resident of Agishty was also wounded in the attack. An operation to hunt down the assailants is under way.

In another incident, a local resident sustained wounds when he tripped on a mine in Grozny's Oktyabrsky district. sd

01/07/2007 14:32 GROZNY, July 1 (RIA Novosti) - One soldier was killed and two others wounded in an attack on federal troops in the troubled Republic of Chechnya in Russia's North Caucasus, a source in the local law-enforcement bodies said Sunday.

On Saturday evening, unidentified gunmen opened fire with grenade launchers and automatic weapons on a Ural truck carrying the Defense Ministry's troops on the administrative border between the Vedeno and Shali districts in southeastern Chechnya, the source said.

Measures are under way to find the attackers, the source said.

In a separate instance, the police found a cache full of explosives near the village of Duba-Yurt in the Shali district. The police destroyed the cache on the spot, the source said.

Mine Flare Kills Two Russian Soldiers In Chechnya

(RTTNews) - A mine discharge killed two Russian soldiers and left two others gravely mutilated in the war-hit southern province of Chechnya, media reported Sunday citing the local police.

The bomb blew up in a forested area while a troop of soldiers was passing through. The authority is on its search for the suspects.

Although major warfare has come to a pause in Chechnya after two dreadful wars since 1994, radicals are still in force with rather trivial means of attack.
