During combat actions CRI’s Vedeno district last Tuesday 12 invaders were killed and about 15 invaders were wounded. One BTR armored vehicle was knock out. One more vehicle was burnt down, the spokesman of the Headquarters of the Eastern Front of CRI Armed Forces reported.

According to the spokesman of Chechen command, the military operations were took place in district of villages of Eshelhatoy and Hinji-Kotor. It is reported that the mobile squads of Mujahideen twice entered into combat with invaders. During fierce fighting two Chechens became Shaheeds.

The Russian side used helicopters. After the eng of contact fighting actions, a wood zone between Eshelhatoy and Hinji-Kotor (village, which has practically merged with Vedeno) had been subjected to artillery and rocket bombardments.

Policeman shot dead in Chechnya

Two attacks against republican law enforcers were committed in Chechnya on 8 June.

"At about 1 p.m. in the village of Kargalinskaya, Chechya's Shelkovskoy district, two young men on bicycles opened fire from automatic weapons on Imran Kaimov, an officer of the Gudermes regional police department. The officer received several serious wounds and died at the scene. The attackers seized Kaimov's gun and escaped," a Chechen police officer said to the Caucasian Knot correspondent.

"Besides, in the Leninsky district of Grozny, on Zhukovskogo Street, a self-made bomb of high capacity went off when a car with law enforcers was passing by. No policeman suffered, the car was seriously damaged," the source said.

Chechen law enforcers are patrolling streets of the Chechen capital, federal and local security posts are reinforced with people and equipment.

As the Caucasian Knot correspondent was told at the Chechen Interior Ministry, two attacks against federal servicemen were registered in Grozny on 9 and 10 July. Both the incidents occurred in the Staropromislovsky district of Grozny. Two soldiers were killed and ten were injured as a result.

Russian convoy routed in Jokhar

Spokesman of the Headquarters of Islamic Task-Force Regiment (ITFR) contacted KC news and information agency over the phone and reported that on Saturday about 18 o’clock on Jokhar time (6 p.m.) the united forces of ITFR and the Islamic Brigade from structure of Urus-Martan sector of the CRI Armed Forces attacked a military automobile convoy of occupational formations in capital Jokhar. Urban mobile squads named after Arbi Barayev and Ramzan Akhmadov from structure of ITFR and IB took part in the operation.

The Mujahideen arranged an ambush for the Russian occupiers on the Staropromyslov road, according to the spokesman of the Headquarters of ITFR. Landmines were exploded on the route of the occupiers and fire was opened from automatic weapons, machine guns and grenade dischargers.
