There was a fierce fighting in the Vedeno region
The “Caucasus-center”, referring to a representative of the headquarters of the East Front of the Military Forces of the ChRI, informs, that two days ago in near village Eshelhatoi, situated between Elistanji and the regional centre Vedeno, a division of mojaheds led by Amir Rabbani (Rapani Halilov), attacked a group of Russian terrorists. During the fierce fight mojaheds liquidated 11 invaders and wounded many of them. One mojahed became a Shahid and four of them were wounded.
After the fight mojaheds went to a mountain-woody zone. The Russian command called aircraft. Bombardments proceeded for more than a day. Invaders also tried to organize prosecution of the division of mojaheds by forces of Yamadaev's terrorists from the GRU, however these attempts ended unsuccessfully.

On the eve in Urus-Martan as the result of explosion of the car with national-traitors made by Chechen fighters, Rustam Kerimov was gravely wounded. The “Interfax” informs on it.
Kerimov is an active participant of the Russian gangs.
There are no losses from the Chechen party.

A group of servicemen triggered a mine in Chechnya's Nozhai-Yurt district. Two of them died and three were wounded, Radio Liberty says. One serviceman died and three were wounded when an armoured personnel carrier triggered a mine in Urus-Martan district earlier today. One military man suffered in a combat with rebels in the same district earlier.
A federal unit destroyed two rebels in the Nozhai-Yurt district on 28 June. This is what the Regional Operations Headquarters for the Counter-terrorist Operation in the North Caucasus told RIA Novosti. A 23-year-old serviceman was wounded in the combat.

Killed servicemen figures
Ten federal servicemen were killed in Chechnya in May this year, the Russian Defence Ministry says on its website. Seven of them were killed in action, according to the ministry.
More than 3,400 military men have been killed over the entire period of the counter-terrorist operation since 1999, including 28 servicemen killed this year, according to official information, Gazeta.Ru says.
