Mujahideen conduct successful sabotage operations in Vedeno district

According to the source inside the headquarters of Eastern Front of CRI Armed Forces, in Vedeno region of the country in the wood zone, on south of the village of Agishty, in the morning of 23 June, Mujahideen ambushed a group of Russian Kafirs from so-called Special Forces. During fierce shoot out 4 Russian invaders were eliminated. Two Mujahideen were injured in the battle.

GROZNY, Russia; June 28, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- Several hundred people have rallied in the Chechen capital, Grozny, to protest searches and interrogations in connection with the disappearances of three Russian soldiers convicted of killing civilians, RFE/RL's Russian Service reported.





A Russian military court on June 14 sentenced Eduard Ulman and three other Russian soldiers to long prison terms for killing six civilians, including a pregnant woman, in the war-ravaged Russian republic five years ago.

Three of the defendants have been missing since April and were tried in absentia.

Chechen inmates in Mordovian penal colony complain of abuses

CHECHNYA - More than fifteen convicted Chechens held at penal colony IK-5 in Mordovia in Russia's Privolzhsky district, have written a letter to Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, complaining about the conditions in which they are being detained.

The inmates claim that they are brutalized by the prison authorities, that they have been severely beaten, and that this is being done on the basis of their ethnicity. The letter says that "... it is all accompanied by expressions like ‘you’re all gangsters, and your president is a gangster, too'."

Unable to endure the daily beatings, one of the Chechen prisoners slashed his wrists, but his life was saved.
